This definitely didn't feel like a Thursday party!!

lol tell me about it... I loved that he went until 4am...

I've seen Richie 4 other times (one of those being a 5hr Fabric set) and this was my fav set of his... I thought musically the guy was on point + in complete control, he reminded me why he sits in that upper echelon of DJ's...

(I also thought the vibe was fire from the moment we opened the doors, everyone was so excited + happy!)

Maybe it's because I don't get out as much anymore, but I had a pretty amazing time last night, and thought that there were some pretty killer moments in his set. Especially at around 3:00am or so, I was very much in 'my happy place' of music and was loving what he was playing.

Started to fade shortly after 3 and left just before 4 - but had a feeling the set was starting to wrap up then, and sounds like I didn't miss much.

I've caught Richie in Toronto 3 times before (Kabin, TIL, Mod Club) - and last night was my favourite time catching him in Toronto.

Got at the club just a little before 12 - ticket holder line moved quickly, little bit of a wait at coat check but nothing too bad. After the -show of Ricardo, it was refreshing to see how smoothly things run at Footwork.

Once Richie got on the decks, it took him a few tracks to really get into the swing of things, but I thought he banged out a pretty great set. Going between some nice harder-tracks, and occasionally delving into weirded-out heady tracks. Even with as packed as Footwork was, there was always room on the dance floor to move and never felt like it was over-crowded.

I had a super ty/stressful past week or two, and really needed a night out like this - I'd give it a 9/10. I really can't think of anything to complain about. Danced my ass off with a smile on my face and had a great time.

For sure! Just checked out the Stereo calendar for the month and all of the bookings look insane!

Never partied in MTL before... it looks awesome!

Can anyone describe stereo to me? is it like a bigger footwork? or totally different than anything in Toronto?

It is MUCH bigger than Footy...

It's a strange room... A lot of glass... Wide open with high ceilings... Booth is way up high and the DJ is pretty out of view... Very bright in there...

All that being said, I actually loved it there when I saw Beiruz...

Also, two words...

Democratic Segregation...

You'll see what I mean...

I am so glad I didn't attend these events. Mind you, i lined up for 10mins for Villalobos.

But lets hope I win the Sasha contest next week and party it up with the man like!

I had heard that the segregation is not so obvious since they've renovated, and I found that to be true when I was there last month.

Last time I was there for DT they moved the dj booth to floor level. I'm sure this'll be the case again.
