I had heard that the segregation is not so obvious since they've renovated, and I found that to be true when I was there last month. |
was still pretty obvious when we went for the Martinez Brothers last month. Great times though :)
The sound in that place is incredible!! one of the best systems I've ever had the pleasure of listening too. |

For sure! Just checked out the Stereo calendar for the month and all of the bookings look insane!
Never partied in MTL before... it looks awesome!
Can anyone describe stereo to me? is it like a bigger footwork? or totally different than anything in Toronto? |
Stereo is my favorite club to party in, I make the trek from Toronto to Montreal to party at that place at least once a month.
Basically, the club is a DJs playground. The sound is custom, clear and crisp. They finally moved the DJ booth from high up to a lower setting where the DJ is better connected to the party.
The crowd is a mix of gay and straight, and most people are educated about the music. Nights usually start at 2am and go to 11am. |

You do no get a clearer divide than that! Were they playing football/soccer? Did they also have jumpers for goalposts? :D It reminds me of when I used to play football with my mates. We were too amateurish to even get bibs, never mind football kits, so shirts and skins it was.
With Umek and Hawtin, my recent clubbing gambles (aside from Villalobos) have paid off quite well. I hope my decisions over Sasha and Timo also pan out! |
