I guess its preference really. I personally don't think those ear bud things are really comfortable. But maybe I have weird ears, idk.
The Sennheiser headphones are great though. In addition to beign worn by a ton of djs now, those exact models are used for a lot of live broadcast stuff...like the announcers at boxing fights, basketball announcers, etc... The noise cancellation on them is second to none really. |

+1 I can only wear them for a very short time before they become absolutely unbearable. |

I have those and i think they are great for the money. Got them from ebay for just 70 bucks. They come with 3 different kind of buds, 2 small and 1 long.
At least this review agrees with me http://reviews.cnet.com/best-earbuds/ |

Yea, these are the ones I have now and am looking to upgrade from. They are amazing in comparison to the Apple default pair however I don't think hey capture the lows well, however were all (I'm assuming since your posting here) listening to trance where the lows aren't necessarily most important. Howeve, I do find them a little lacking. I guess my question is would higher end ebuds gve me what I'm looking for or do I need headphones. Noise canceling isn't at the top of my priority though since I'm not djing with them.
I have read with the senhheiser that the headband is a little tight and uncomfortable. Anny comment on that? |

| Unless you plan to listen to music while working out then get headphones. Earbuds really aren't even in the same category when it comes to sound quality. |

+1 on this. Those things are tanks.
Oh and pretty much any headphones or ear bud your gonna buy is gonna have a burn in life..you dont have to burn them in before listening, it just happens over time. |

| i have actually been saving up for those Seinheissers that Zack posted. Read some great reviews about them and plus I love black lol maybe I will just spray paint my sonys all black but the leather is gone and I have had them for about 8 years already so maybe I am due. Plus they have M.I.K.E.'s autograph on them lolol. |

same here.. i always use my iphone earbuds on my imac and keeps blowing up every 2-3 months.. must have gotten 8 of them the past 2-3 years. if i decide to go with headphones, i would feel pretty weird wearing them outside while listening to my ipod. |

Why do you care what other people that you'll probably never see again think about you?
My headphones make me look like I'm wearing some space helmet. But no one has said anything. And the same has applied to everyone else I've seen wearing huge headphones...people don't care. |
