sequencer, FL 5-7 -> Reason 3 -> Cubase 3 -> then and currently Ableton + Reason
Sound card: M-Audiophile 192 -> motu ultralite 896 mk3 + Soundcraft 200B mixer
Hardware: started with none and had none for 3 years or so, then Yamaha RMX1, Microkorg, Ensoniq VFX, x0xb0x, Novation Nova, Roland D-50, Akai S-612

well why didn't I think of that

actually I just got a new job and so far I'm going to spend like $1200 on custom guitar parts to build my own solid body electric. I've got about $800 paid for so far, once that's done I can go ahead and buy some hardware synths and a MIDI keyboard and a soundcard and a headphone amp and a new PC and a pair of KRK's and all the other I seriously need to start getting. it's a process.

I use the default panning laws - good or bad thing?

That's what I always used and it didn't sound any different than Sonar, PTLE, etc.

"Mixing Audio" has a little run down on the different options. I don't think it matters very much.

how can something as virtual as a kick have density??? [kg/m3]. it doesnt make sense. it must be the density of air in that case?

MC-202 + TB-303 -> Tb-303, mks-50, ex-800, etc -> no hardware (komplete 5, kore 2, maschine) -> 6U euro rack, 3U Paia 9700s frac rack (kore 2 + logic)

Amiga 500 -> PC -> iMac (not really impressed)

USB audiophile -> Audiofire 8
