PT + Reason >> Ableton
Hardware wise I've gone from mbox1 > echo indigo Dj, but still use the Mbox. Hopefully I'll be adding a FF800 onto that soonish, along with an audiotechnica 4050 or Mojave mic. |

c1988 I had a Juno 1 and a DX7 for live stuff. Then the D50 came out and I thought 'how can it ever get any better than this?'
Those were the days.

2GHz iMac 20" -> 27" 2.8Ghz Quad Core i7 iMac + 13" alu Macbook.
Garageband -> Logic for about 2 years now. :)
Garageband is actually pretty damn awesome to learn in if you already know you're using Logic afterwards. The workflows are extremely similar and learning how to use Garageband through and through made Logic a snap. |

What does an iMac like that cost? 3000 $? And the Macbook? 1000 $? You're one rich boy, I'll tell you that if you didn't already figure it out yourself.
HammerHead Rhythm Station ->
ScreamTracker ->
Fruity Loops -> (FL Studio, lol) |

One French guy told me any kicks comming out of cubase lack depth and density.
Any thoughts? Sorry to hijack thread. |
Hasnt cubase always been good for mixing, a lot of producers use it just for this purpose, so it shouldnt have any problems.
With any DAW out there, if people are using it professionally and releasing music then its fine. You just have to know what you are doing!
This guy is 16 and use's Cubase, nuff said!

Yea Cubase is great. I start in Ableton but finish in Cubase as I find the the finer details easier to do in Cubase. I also like the effects more. |

Yup, about $3000. I live in a 400 square foot apartment. I'm actually pretty damn poor, I just saved up for a seriously long ass time with my part time job :) I buy few very expensive things rather than a lot of cheap crap haha.
You'd probably laugh if you saw my room. It's an Ikea bed, a desk, my computers/MIDI controller and that's it. I don't even have posters on my walls. |
