They were actually the number 1 track on RA.

The list that Graham has referenced is Mixmag.

The tune is very basic with with an ok bassline. Not sure why it's #1? But congrats to Kenny! Good to see him getting the recognition and success.

They've both put in alot of time in Toronto and have "made" it- and did it outside the ink banner, which is not easy to do at all.

I think the track in and of itself is ok, but thats why i'm a photographer and not a music critic. It seems they're PEERS enjoy it the most this year. Kudos to them.

the element that makes this track stand-out is Kenny's singing... I wonder if we're going to see him on a lot of upcoming AD stuff... (I hope so!)

Not a bad song but dont really understand how its the #1 (EDM?) song of the year.

Like if I wanted to introduce a non-edm person to the music and said 'this is the #1 song from this year' they would probably be like wtf.

I do like the song, it just sounds pretty average to me. But congrats to them!

people who "dont understand the hype" have probably never heard the full quality version on a proper soundsystem to understand the magnitude of this track. if not, they just aint seein the deepness of the soul.

yeah, I find the 'I don't really get the big deal' posts annoying... it's ok yo, Mixmag & R.A seem to "get it"

I think the tune's popularity is a testament to "don't take it so ing seriously, it's just dance music". Yeah it's a pretty basic tune - but the fact that it doesn't need all kinds of in your face to get the job done is what makes it appealing. If you can't just enjoy a nice grindy, thumpy, tune with a few disco LAZORZ, then obviously something is wrong with you. :o

Furthermore, some people think simplicity is sophisticated. Isn't it, excuse the pun, more artful to be able to do more with less?
