Mr, real estate agent. I really enjoy the hypnotizing feeling from your track. Now the bass is complementing the drive!...I support the idea of using vocals as trigers before every drop.
really like the work you have done guys, Im looking forward to the final release.
cheerss! |

You could pull that mid bass up even more, for that kind of in your face moment before the beat drops.
I like that mid bass a lot.
That vocal sample sounds like you just kind of randomly placed it in the track.
You could put in the first drop, right before the song kicks back in.
"You think I am funny?" -> Beat drops.
As an extra added bonus it'll be easier to fit in the mix.
If you want to get extra added mileage to it, you want to add that vocal sample before every drop. Because then it acts as an anticipatory device that will cue the dancers of when the drop is coming. |
Cheers for the thoughts.
By 'mid bass' do you mean the solo synth in the breaks or the mid bass playing along with everything (ie, not in the breaks)?
I was toying with putting the vocal before each drop - as you say it could be a crowd pleaser. I didn't as I thought it was a bit obvious, but you've got me thinking again, and I might just try it.
Cheers again. |

Lots of really cool sounds, but I think there's something amiss with the drums.
The kick is a little weak and maybe a few ms too early on each beat. It feels like there's a buss where you've hidden all the sycopated percs has been muted by mistake too.
Awesome ideas, but somehow not gelling for me. :conf: |

| I just listened to it again.. The percusion marimba sound lacks character, I would work with it, maybe automating it more, some tweaking... |

Cheers bloke
I've had another listen and can't hear the kik 'earliness'?
Wanted to keep it quite clean and stripped so there aren't any hidden percs - I guess your'e missing some though. I will have a re - check though just to se if it could use more percs but I'm very very wary of over cluttering, so I'll see how it goes.
The kick sound has immense amounts of frequency shaved out, but I like the way it leaves loads of room and I think would hopefully be cleaner in a club.

Not diggin' that generic square pluck sound, but you have some powerful, creative sounds revolving around it. Nice transitions, nice bassline and nice energy throughout. The build commencing around 4.35 is worth a particular mention. Excellent. I'm listening on woeful speakers right now and I wish I could hear it on my monitors to soak up all the goodness.
Another stellar choice of artwork btw! |

The solo one.
I thought you were the one who wanted to sell out? Even if it is "cheesy" it actually makes sense. Besides trying to be different, is there a reason you have the vocal bit strung around the track? The way it is now, just seems senseless unless you say otherwise. |

Super cool track! That build was insane! I agree about it not sound like it gels very well though, it sounds a bit messy, but It's still much better than most of the stuff on here.
That square lead does get a bit.... eh. Honestly I would rather you replace that sound with a sort of... blippy percussion sound panned to the right maybe, and tried a new lead altogether. |

Man thanks
Mate can you pin point for us which bits are messy? You know what it's like when you work on a track for days you get a bit sense numb.
The square lead your'e not keen on - you mean the one from the start or the second counter melody lead that comes in the last break onwards? |

Alright, listening to this version now...
Basically the distortion I'm referring to is the compressing of the master channel. You can hear it pumping and squashing especially when the volume gets too high, but I figure this is probably more a matter of taste now that I listen to it again. Still, I advise you to listen at the same volume before compressing as after compressing and noting the difference in dynamics. If you think it isn't degrading the volume then leave it. I do find some of the vocals are too loud though, and I'm glad the loud bass doesn't play at the same time as the kick, though the drops at 0:30 and 5:20 sound especially weak. Also I haven't read the rest of the replies and it may just be me. |

With your new version, the first hook section of the track is MUCH better than the second half, the second lead you add makes it sound super messy and just doesn't jive with it, the first part is groovy but the second part is noisy, you know?
Still a sick track, though. :) |
