A contest so big, it had to be posted twice! :)

I have this awesome idea for a new track :

Take and awful, forgettable, and awkward vocal, throw in a lame bassline and percussion, OH.. and a ty melody, of course. Throw it all together with a boring production and you have... this.

Not remixing, but thanks for the offer.

I'm going to start a campaign: "Stop digital-only labels from ruining EDM!"

I'm tempted to do a 10 hour remix challenge. Spend no more than 10 hours on it and submit it. If everyone does one, they'll get flooded with crap - which is going to happen anyway.

Besides, it's not as though they spent ten hours on this horrid song, anyway - truly fukcing awful.

maybe the glenn morrison remix rubs you a better way.

Not everyone will like this track, and everyone is entitled to thier opinions, but the true value of a remix contest is the ability to put your own spin on it. If you don't like the track then polish it, chop it up, tweek it, glitch it out, make it your own.

:)

Yes, it does rub me a better way because Morrison is a GOOD PRODUCER.

You've already got a nice remix, why hold this contest? And, furthermore, why release a track when the remix is obviously the shining star? Not that the remix is a particularly enjoyable listen, but he's a great producer and did his best with what he had and with how much you were willing to pay him. :p

it wouldn't be trance addict forum without the classic antagonizer offering his opinion. :)
Clearly this contest isn't your cup of tea.

Honestly, I think you're missing our point.

When you clearly have the resources to put out better, you've (not just your label but the industry, with few exceptions, on the whole) put out worse. This song is an example of that. Any contempt you're perceiving is directed at that. It's not simply because this song is poor fodder for remixing. It's because a lot of people here put out better, both with and for less, while you guys put out worse and still gain more.

Scott Hardkiss' representatives tried to do the same thing, here, with the truly atrophic, "Beat Freak" (see below).

Here you are with an ostensibly worse song, yet you continue to deflect from the real issue with the standard PR obduracy.
