+1 on the weekends not being as good as weekdays...
i'd say sun-thurs are the best nights... fri is okay and sat is actually the most uninteresting night (as the big djs are all out of town on sat usually). a good way to spend Sat afternoon/evening is going to Blue Marlin or Formentera... |

Could not agree more. I've been 2 times (trying to swing another trip this year) and use the weekends to catch up on sleep.
However, I would probably not want to miss Thursday either as there are usually at least 2-3 good shows...some uber commercial, but still a big night. |

I've only been to Ibiza for one day and that was a Saturday. The events were still jam packed and really fun but as far as talent there wasn't much. I believe the only option to seee someone recognizable was Erik Morillo, other than that it was a lot of parties "for Ibiza locals" etc. Luckily it was the 10 year anniversary of one of these parties at Amnesia so I had a blast.
So yeah, I definitely would say Saturday is the slowest day. That being said, it's a good day to relax and get your bearings.
My biggest advice is go to Bora Bora and hang out at the beach. Promoters will be coming up to you all day and you can get good deals on tickets. We got passes to Amnesia + open bar for pretty cheap. |

| I can't believe how expensive and ty the hotels are based on the reviews I've been reading. Ibiza Town is supposed to be a lot nicer area than Playa d'en Bossa, has anyone stayed in Ibiza Town and was it still convenient for clubbing? |

i've stayed at the Pacha hotel the last 2 times... loved it...great oversize rooms, balconies, free entry into Pacha.... the view isn't as good as it used to be due to construction though.
depending on your dates you might be able to get it for 250 euros a night in early summer... |

| El Hotel Pacha is EUR400/night in mid-August, when I plan to go, so had to cross it off the list. I'm on page 13 of 37 of the West Coast Ibiza mega thread, will keep looking. One thing really important to me is a soft bed, I've moved hotels because of it before. Was almost set on Garbi until someone mentioned that the beds were like boards there! |

Did you try booking flight and room at Orbitz. I was playing with dates last season and 8 nights + fare was around 1k in September.
I noticed British Airlines announced a sale today but thats for flights in March or April. Guess its all about the timing. |

If all works out, I'll be flying to/from Amsterdam mid to end of August for about $100 using Delta SkyMiles. I'm awaiting receipt of my new Amex Gold Card and 25,000 award miles, then I'll have 75,000 miles needed for the trip (if flights are still available then). Vueling has flights from Amsterdam to Ibiza from $231, but the ones going over arrive at 12:30am, and coming back there's a 9 hour layover in Barcelona.
Oh yeah, I have friends an hour north of Amsterdam and plan to stay with them a few days at the beginning and end, with Ibiza for 5-6 days in the middle. Would like to treat my friend to Mystery Land on 27 August, but so far the lineup is lacking (Tiesto & Fedde le Grande). |

Playa d'en Bossa is not that bad. We stated Hotel Algarb, right on the beach. The rooms was standard but clean and you could trust the cleaning crew. Breakfast was also included. There where days that we came from a club ate and went to sleep. When we stayed there it was only $93(us) a night. I found the room at http://www.hotelscombined.com
June- Aug. is peak season so you will find that air and hotels are more expensive. We went right after labor day.. Our flight was $580 round trip!! (us air) We didn't even have to pay for our bags since we where going international.
For those going I would go from sun-sun. There is so much more do on the island then club. Take a day rent a car or scooter and get lost. you will find that there are so many hidden treasures. We where there for all most 2 weeks and still did not get to do all we wanted too. |
