I haven't watched it (cop shows aren't my thing, although I did enjoy L&O (original) when I bothered to watch it), but I heard somewhere East West 101 is supposed to be rated pretty highly.

Yeah it's rather disgusting. The problem they had in latter years was they moved it from it's 8pm staple to 9pm and then on random nights so it was never the same from one week to the next. Because of that, it lost the usual viewership so they decided they wanted to do something more 'upto date' It sucked because it was a show that whilst it had some continuity was enough that you could miss a few episodes and get back into it without feeling you'd missed too much.
