we're just lacking good tv now. Spooks is about the best we have but it's only 8 episodes a year, Ashes to Ashes/Life on Mars is done, The Bill is gone, Taggart isn't the same now each story is done in an hour instead of two. We just have gone quiz shows. Mock the week, Have I got news for you, QI, Never Mind the Buzzcocks and I actually have hopes for a show that begins tonight. Trailer or something is

a new season of torchwood is meant to start this year :) that's easily the coolest (non comedy) show to come out of the UK.

It took me a while to make the connection but Ricky Gervais reminds me of Esther Ku. I'm sure it's awesome to hang out with them and they're heaps of fun but as stand-up comedians they just seem to turn troll mode on and hope for the best:
