Ricardo Villalobos Announced For Movement Festival In Detroit Via Facebook
The ‘Secret Artist’ placeholder on the Movement Electronic Music Festival schedule was announced via the festival’s official Facebook page at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. The post said: “Ricardo Villalobos is the ‘Secret Artist.’ He WILL be in Detroit to perform at MOVEMENT May 29th and at the Voyage Royale: I’m on a Boat 3 afterparty. Check www.Movement.us for more info.”
Villalobos, a world-renowned microhouse and minimal techno DJ/producer, last performed in Detroit in 2002 when he played live at Paxahau Electronic Music Festival (PEMF), a four-day party that was held at the former Panacea Nightclub in downtown Detroit.
Paxahau originally released the Artist Set Schedule on May 12, but in the Sunday, May 29 vitaminwater stage slot inserted ‘Secret Artist’ as a placeholder, which created a lot of buzz and speculation in social media spaces since then—and is the reason festival organizers decided to release Villalobos’ scheduled performances via the festival’s official Facebook page.
Pre-sale day passes available now, Three-day Passes $70, VIP $150
Pre-sale day passes are available for just $35. Pre-sale weekend passes will cost only $70 and provide fans access to the festival May 28-30. VIP passes are available for $150. With a VIP pass, festival-goers receive access to the following:
· Private check-in area to receive your credentials
· Access to large area above and behind the main stage
· Private bar - 6 complimentary drink tickets
· Discounted drinks available at the VIP bar
· Deluxe private executive bathroom trailers

| Will likely keep my boat ticket now for the sheer rarity of seeing Vath and Ricardo together on it. Still not crazy about being on the boat Sunday night but this might be too unique of a party to pass up. I'd guess that the delayed announcement was much more about a visa situation rather than strictly promotional. I've got my fingers crossed that there will be time to enjoy some of the Get Physical party afterward. |
