To make peace the world must deal with war lords, drug king pins, all the different trade traffickers, all the governments, and what i personally think is the most important, the people's opinion on what is peace. Peace means different things to different people.
One person means to peace is another persons means for war. |

Other than economic prosperity and interdependence, I really can't think of a solution to your original question. Ideals won't get us anywhere, unfortunately; but the economy can definitely give us a hand. |

You can't make peace with al Queda, what you can do is make it so their goal is no longer valid or worth fighting for.
