The number I've heard from several DJs of his pay-grade (PvD, Tiësto, etc...) is $20,000 per gig on average. That varies with each crowd, country and club though.
*shudder* at how much money he has |
When they released "Leave the World behind" he did a gig which I helped promote and he got £7,000 for the 2hr set...bare in mind he just played another set for £7,000 before so pay varies on demand and right now they're heavily in demand as a trio so they probably demand £30,000-£35,000 as a trio possibly more.
He's loaded now, they all are...some will doubt the ability compared to Axwell but as a trio they work and you can imagine how much fun they have. |

I watched "Take One" last night, and it was at least somewhat entertaining. Mostly because of the snappy editing and what-not. Honestly, most of what they do on tour is pretty boring. It's pretty surprising to see Ingrosso and Angello so SAD looking all the time. It's like they don't even really enjoy what they do that much.
One assumption I had is true though: Axwell is clearly the least douchey of the group. That's the way it seems watching the movie, at least. |

I read that 10 years ago Paul Oakenfold made 24,000$ per 2 hour gig. Taking into account inflation and the fact they (not neccesarily him) would earn more now do to increased popularity of electronic music it might be well more than that.
Also, ONE of his houses was 13 million in Los Angeles:

| quote: | All the top 100 djs can live with their dj work, rest assured. Number 1-3 can get up to 100,000$ each gig but i think the top 100 can only aspire 1,000$/gig. Quite a lot, if you manage to have 8 gigs/month it's 8000$ + say 1,000$ if your productions sell well (and this guys sell a lot) it's a pretty good income.

No.. Good dj's make a lot more than that ..
I personally know a pretty famous producer/dj who guetta and tiesto played in one of their mixtapes and his songs are being played by boys noize/ bart b more + a load of dj's .
well he's my neighbor actually.
But for each gig he plays it's about $8,000- $10,000 total but about half goes to his booking company - he's not on the top 100 but he's playing ultra/ and played at EDC/Hard all that stuff..
it's still good ass money your making! |

on the other hand i know people signed to FSOE and High Contrast regularly and played by Armin van Buuren,Ferry,A&B, A&F who need a regular job and djing for them is just an extra income.
It all depends on the kind of gigs you have, i know ibiza residents who you haven't ever heard of them and haven't played out of spain that are making a lot of money more than the nº 98 of the djmag for example, or the number 97 can make more money than the 28th... it's safe to say that from 20th onwards to rank 1 they all make insane amounts of money. |

I don't see how this is so hard to comprehend.
He owns a record label, tours as an international DJ, sells his own productions (with radio play), remixes for other popular artists, product endorsements and has done all this for several years on an international scale.
Do you think a $200k car (new) is that wild of a purchase for someone in the entertainment business? |
