Can you post them regardless? I'm guessing they are the usual turn off the pretty aesthetics, etc. But I'd love to know if there is more I could do.

Well I actually thought it was that people genuinely had a hard time understanding me, which is why I explained myself.

I definitely can't say I understand myself 100% either. I mean I'm always trying to change, adapt or evolve in someway in life sometimes it happens in good ways other times not so good.

It seems if anything like YOU understand me at least better than you use to. And then people like DJ Rann or M4B just like to assume I'm naive which confuses me. I've been through more and seen more than a large majority of guys my age and I think if anything my outlook is a bit more seasoned than the avg person.

I also generally don't handle pretentious attitudes well and it seems like any time its me or DJ Rann/M4B in a thread SOMETHING has to be said by either one of them to assert how important they think they are or how right their position is and how wrong mine is. I think it originally started mainly due to my experience in music which is limited, and it seems like over the years they're always trying to push my limited skills in music to other areas in life.

I don't care enough about music to have a career in it and I think to some extent that bothers them. Like they just expect to be admired because of their lifestyle choices and see me as an outsider or what have you idrk. But the thing is the reason I've been on this forum as long as I have is because of how much I ing love music. Like I don't care about it in a way where I would ever feel a desire to wanna make a living out of it, but I still love music to the point where I feel I deserve the same amount of respect either one of them do.
And in that regard they should stop the condescending bs immediately. But because they always need to feel more qualified not just in music but life in general, I doubt these issues will ever go away. Accept me for a flawed music loving human being, or don't accept me at all. And right now its clear they're both engaging that latter. Because they wouldn't correct me over meaningless like how to use the word "melody" properly, nor make references in kysoras threads about how hes like me just because we both use Fl and aren't ing perfect of all things.
It does actually piss me off. I mean I take to it like a joke but for DJ Rann to insinuate that ky can't make a thread and ask a question because its too simple, or a "user error" (wtf isn't a user error?) thats preposterous and pisses me off. Its also not joking because thats nothing you joke about to another person. He was trying to deman kysora mainly for not being perfect, and thats part of the reason that even though I like DJ Rann I will never respect him fully as a person.

Its really a lot more I think then just understanding each other lol. I see lots of on this forum I don't like and I think it just comes out at the wrong times in the wrong ways.

What I know about you is that, when you're not pissed off, you're really ing smart. There's truth in what you're saying about your life experience being, at least, a little more intense than the average bear's and virtue for having had them. You're not making good use of them or your intellect, being pissed off, though.

As firmly as RANN believes that a professional sound-card is part of the solution for Kysora, I honestly think that everything you're trying to achieve, could be achieved without any hostility and that what you want to achieve falls far short of what you actually could achieve if you'd stop letting your anger take the reigns. While people might insist you're getting crapped on because you're a monumental -head, I know for a fact that the reason is simply because people expect better from you. The simple fact is that you've demonstrated yourself capable of better, on more than one occasion.

As much as it might satisfy you to find your brute-force approach to conflict resolution, successful, your thinking is on a much higher plain when it's not directed in such a fashion. You're a smart guy but the "problems" you're facing are walnuts that you're trying to use a hand-grenade to crack. It's a very simple dilemma, really.

When you're pissed and you want to write a flame, you're wrong. You may be right about certain things, but in totality, you're still wrong. At all other times, you're right or, even if you're wrong, your thinking can be directed to the correct conclusion. It's when you get pissed, though, that you miss the forest for the trees.

I have to disagree. The problem with Robby is that he thinks he knows alot. I might come across as a know it all but I am studying music every day despite working. I read as much as possible and have a very healthy understanding of my limitations, Robby's obdurate approach to debate is annoying. He always assumes he knows everything and does not really think before he writes.

Being smart is being able to rationalize and accept that you are wrong when you are wrong, learn , and try again. Robby does not seem to learn. His bigotry is based on the underlying assumptions of an idiot. The sort of ignorance you tend to shed at age 18. He is almost 30. That is quite pathetic and scary.

Let there be no doubt, that the only person with the problem here, is Robby. If he's going to prove you wrong, he has to dispense with his approach to debating and he should probably do without debate, altogether. Anytime he advances one of his theses, he gets sucked into propping up a tar-baby (pun intended) that will never stand on its own unless it's continually buttressed with a wall of text which succumbs to liquifaction on even a rudimentary analysis.

You're right and if he's going to continue posting, here (not in my authority but by virtue of my wisdom), he's going to have to turn it around 180 degrees. His bigotry is appalling and only supported with remedial confirmation bias. He has an astounding lack of humility. It's ridiculous. It's got to go. I understand where you're coming from, too.

That said, when he's on his game, he brings his A game. I hope I get to see more of that and a hell of a lot less than the Robby who continually dismisses people just because of their authoritative voice conjunctive with their credentials.

Yep, I'll put them in a new thread for you later.

@M4B/EZ - Personally, I think Robby knows something, but I'm afraid it's a poignant case of a little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing. He's certainly smart enough to compose an argument with a high degree of vitriol but it's just sad that it;s based on such flawed logic, wikipedia excepts and skewed bias based on preconceived ideas.

Now the soundcard issue is really a beautiful example of flawed intelligence in action, and its not about the soundcard itself as such. It's a principle of example with a detailed insight in to someones intelligence:

It's being smart enough to operate a complex peice of software (daw) or make educated choices based on research about what processor you should buy, then making an entire thread as to why the system as a whole doesn't work and blaming theprocessor but overlooking a stunningly simple reason as to why the problem (and resultant thread) should never have existed in the first place.

Kysora, did exactly the same thing - posting a question as to why the program he was using to playback his bounces was coloring his sound. While I get he found a separate problem (the EQ settings were altered) there was actually never any need to bounce to an external program, because his system is more than capable of playing back a current WIP if only he'd thought about the problem. There's been enough talk about the benefits of soundcards and cpu bottlenecking and weakest links in the chain and the advantages of good drivers and examples of people producing on crap computers yet making it work to figure this out if only you paid a tiny bit of attention and had a fleeting moment of forethought.

Instead a thread asking how to fix the external program is created. My responses may be deemed as harsh, but you don;t help anyone learn by spoon feeding them an answer - teach someone to problem solve and they'll do it by themselves.

Not saying I'm the ing oracle or even their teacher, but I've worked tech support for years, I've built audio computer system for living. I managed my own audio consultancy business and currently work for a major studio - I'm just trying to share the things that I;ev learnt and I'm trying to avoid TA becoming a dumping ground for brainfarts, such as those threads.

There's simply no need for them, if you just think about what you're posting.

Robby, has done this chronically, and my brazen responses to those posts are nothing more than trying to get him to see the energy he wastes on pointless stream of conciousness thought process.

Maybe it's becuase it was drilled in to me early on - that damn poster of the monkey, which has text on it saying: Put your brain in gear before you engage your mouth.

Robby get's pissed at me because I show this fact to him - even when I solved his CPU issue (to an extent). He got pissed at me in this thread becuase I likened Ky's problem to that thread.
Kysora
Rann, I appreciate both your advice and your willingness to share it, but seriously you need to look at it from my perspective. I'm new to this whole thing. I don't know anything about sound cards. For what it's worth I did google the sound card and try to see if there was any mention of its inability to produce with, and I didn't see much.. so I dismissed it as an issue. I figured it was too little RAM, a single core processor, something else attributable to the equipment that comes with a 5 year old cheap Dell.

For the record I never asked for the advice, so don't make it seem like I'm relying on you guys as a replacement for looking into things myself. I don't have a huge problem with how I do things as they are, but describing my situation prompted you to offer your knowledge to find the bottleneck. I thought that was a legitimate offer to help me in an area I'm not familiar with and it was, and while it was I didn't expect you to suddenly come down on me for being unable to find problems myself. If you hadn't asked the thread wouldn't have turned in that direction because if I really wanted to figure it out, I'm capable of looking around on the internet for answers. You seemingly offered to save me the trouble, and then you get pissy because I didn't do that work instead.

Like I said I appreciate the advice but don't offer it to people and then get upset when the answer is, in your perspective, obvious. It's not for everyone else.
