He played his drum & bass track at Gatecrasher, back in September/October.

It sounds like he took some inspiration from 'Scribble'.

Any sign that it'll be the 'old' PvD? Or will it be the usual lame excuse of "music is diverse blah blah blah" and a crap CD with one good track?

That said, it took me a while, but I really warmed to 'In Between' as an album rather than a trance album.

read the album title: EVOLUTION. it's with all in the world, never go backwards, everything is changing, so music does.
today trance music is not the same it was 15 years ago. today there is a mixture of a variety of different styles like electro and house.
so there will be tracks on it with a housy and electro touch, drum & bass and tech-trance or progressive. you have to hear continiously over the years to his sets. this is the direction the album will be.

This is a joke, right?

That's why I think it'll be crap.

No, it's not 'old PvD', but I never expected that at all. I've been really impressed with the album and the directions he's taken, he's virtually playing all of the tracks in his sets now, so you should check him out in a club and see what you think.

VANDIT night on the 17th in Berlin, perhaps ;)

Saw him in Tokyo 3 times; '08, '09 and '10. Utterly dull.

I am definitely going to take time to properly listen to his latest production though. As I said, 'In Between' for the most part, I really enjoyed it.

I should add; I'm all for artists taking new routes etc, but what I hate, is shoddy, lame and lucklustre productions hidden behind interviews that talk about 'diversifying styles/ progression' etc.

Castaway
was this pushed back to march?
WardC
I think so, at least that is what Paul has been saying, originally it was "Sometime in 2011" and now it looks like March-ish 2012. That is the best gamble right now.
