What did everyone think of the event?

I missed Carlo Lio while waiting in line, but was fortunate enough to see all of Calderone's set. My first time seeing him and I thought Victor was great! Dubfire was the man I came to see and I thought he killed the first 90 or so minutes of his set, but after that it seemed repetitive and uninteresting. Went over to Gallery to see the start of Deko-Ze's set. Haha that guy is wild! He wasn't spinning my brand of music exactly, but he knows how to rock a dance floor and what great energy!

Overall, a good but not incredible event.

great night, gallery was awesome and dubfire was so good. then this happened... carlo lio vs dubfire at zone!!!
DudebuD
enjoyed the whole nite.

lio's set was a good opener, needed a bit more ooomph though.

calderone was niiiiiice.

congorock destroyed the drink, not to mention the dudes a gentleman.

dubfire was good but got boring rather quickly, probably because i was beat, but his music can be just as annoying as eletro-house beepy stuff.

Best part of this Family Day weekend has to be the Dubfire vs Carlo Lio b2b set @ zone. Expect the unexpected

caught only 1 or 2 songs of lios set, Calderone was flawless and i wont be missing his Toronto gigs anymore, Dubfire showed why 'fire' is part of his stage name, took off at 6ish so i dunno how it ended but im guessing dddaaaarrrkkk and trippy
great night overall

Carlo never disappoints ever such a great opening set, I can't wait for some of those remixes and originals.

Calderone was boring he had nice build ups and really good mixing, he picked it up at the end though but his tracks didn't have what I wanted to hear after Carlo.

Dubfire.. now i'm such a huge dubfire fan and he is one of the artists that i will download sets from. He started off the weakest i have ever heard him start off.. the first 30-45 mins were really bad, maybe good if he came on after lio because it had a similar sound and half the tracks sounded unmastered with the bass being really weird and loud.. but not good loud, to the point where you would have to cover your ears even with ear plugs.

After that this man went crazy with techno and he didn't let all the songs drag on, he only let a few drag on but they were really nice bass lines. His mixing was really good! i couldn't stop dancing at all, all of my friends were tired wanting to go home at 4 am but they ended up leaving at 6 because dubfire just kept going and going with dark and bouncy techno. He looked so full of life up there having a great time with the crowd and the people that were behind him. He finished just under 8 playing "late night tough guy" "scylla" some depeche mode and Daft punk but i think it was his edit.

One of the best nights i have had at guv and that Dubfire set kicked my ass probably the best set i have heard from him it was out of control (besides that first 30 mins)
