How far are the locations of the past after parties from the Hart Plaza? Trying to figure out if it would be easier to rent a car or cab it every where.

Some are walking, but I would suggest cabbing for safety considering it is Detroit! Not worth it to get a car if you're staying downtown.

Ryan Elliott, Ben Klock and Monolake added to the line-up.

Ben Klock...epic ;)
Monolake? or Monoloc?

Monolake is a pretty random booking imo, but I'd definitely check it out, hoping Henke brings the monodeck with ;)

I've read about him/her/them a lot, but no idea what kind of music it is.

Monolake used to be Robert Henke and Gerhard Behles, but I think Behles is focusing on Ableton exclusively now, so it's just Henke.
He's pretty minimal techno/microhouse, with a kinda ambient dub vibe. Definitely one of the pioneers in terms of digital PA's/mixing/producing. He'd done a ton of remixes/collaborations with some of the big Berlin names like Ellen Allien, Modeselektor, Apparat and T++...
He also custom built his own midi controller for Ableton called the monodeck, which has got to be the single coolest controller ever imo, wish he would start selling them......this thing is completely bonkers!

MONOLAKE are amazing.. a huge influence on me when I was just beginning production. Deep, textured German dub techno..
One of my favorite performances was seeing them live in Toronto years ago using the prototype of what would become Ableton live... a time when tech artists performed actual live p.a.'s - creating music on the fly - rather than just mixing full tracks together in ableton and calling it 'live' ;)
Their albums Hongkong (on the great Chain Reaction label) and Gravity are must listens.
