Anyone else been bored of partying?

I never would imagine I would say this, but recently I have gotten "bored" at a party. Not because it didn't suck, I just felt like it was the same as last time. Kinda like that saying "same just different day." Just change day for party.

It has happen to me twice already in the past year or so. I have been partying a decent time in my life. I started going to massives in the mid 90's, so I have a decent amount of time under my belt.

The bored feeling came to me at REALLY good parties, with REALLY good music. So weak music and vibes can't be the answer to my boredom. Most of the times that I party, I am usually 100% sober. Select times do I drink and even fewer times do I get wasted. I never mess with the "other" stuff, but I have smoked here and there at a party.

I know I can't be the only one, anyone else been there? Do I have to start drinking more to get back into it? lol

Yes, it happens..

I suggest some shots of either tequila or vodka! Should be able to help you get back into things!

been feeling that way lately too....and no matter how many shots, eventually, that bored feeling comes back...must be the age thing

could it be cause you go out too often and you see the same guys(for the most part) each time?? maybe take a break from going out every weekend. going out too often, you get burnt on the scene.

I for one am glad I dont go out every weekend, it makes me appreciate the time and the fun we have when we do go out. I am glad I have a family but sometimes I need a break. I guess I'm the opposite you of. ;)

+1 That works too!

I used to go out often, but now I pick and chose my DJ's more carefully. Specially when tickets cost $30 - Up..

Maybe you should start messing with "the other stuff" ;)

Just a suggestion, but I see what you're getting at.

Happens to everyone who constantly goes out. I'd say half recover, half never do and fade away from the scene. It's all about taking a break and slowing down.

First off, you gotta move back or over to trance. jk..each their own.

Do you have a girl? I know when I started taking my wife out it got more interesting. Then i started to invite my bro and his wife and it got better. It made the night more interesting to see new people I knew react to the scene, so in turn it got me back in. There are friends/family and then there are club friends. But yeah, I get bored at times too. I go out about once a month now or longer.

Take a break. Start a new weekend project with a car in your garage. Have some kids, that will keep you occupied. Work out, if you don't already, gain some muscle, then you can have an incentive to show up back to the club. good luck.

im in the same boat, started in the mid 90's rave scene...but now, i just go out to an edm event maybe once a month...and i switch it up...from a downtown techno party to a undergound house event to a night at avalon to a massive festival, etc...

i think thats the cool thing about LA, we have so many edm options.

so my answer, stop being a snob and switch it up.

take a break. make it special again. thats what i did i spent way too much time and money and i was out every single weekend somtimes 4-5 times a week.

it lost its spark hehehe

then i took like 4 months off and im starting to get back into it again and its got its excitement again.

in all seriousness your tastes might be changing so maybe you should try some other genres....(i havent even taken that advice yet bc im too much of a trance brat hahaha)

ahhh and also- by breaking abit you can save some money and do things better when you do go out...ie...i go out less and now refuse to go out unless its a full on VIP night which really makes me look forward to the event
