My boyfriend calls me fat all the fuking time. So to stop - I wrote on our dry erase calendar the days he would call me fat.
February was only twice :D |

The best way is to start working out yourself and encouraging her to come with you. Insist that it's because you need someone to motivate you.
If you live together, insist that you want to get healthier foods (don't have snacks and junk in the house), so that you aren't tempted.
Once she starts losing weight, compliment her and tell her how good she is looking. |

There are tons of tactful ways, what are you guys talking about?
Telling her you need a work out partner is a great idea. You can also tell her that she's not gained too much weight yet, but you can make a cute comment about her love handles and break the insecurity: that way you're good to talk about her weight (as she'll know a few extra pounds aren't a problem, but it's time to do something about it) and you can still remind her that even if she's a bit more voluptuous than usual, she's still the most beautiful girl in the whole world :) |

Probably the best answer yet, and a friend of mine has done this before. They broke up a few weeks later, but the message was quite clear :haha:
This was years ago, but I actually saw the girl in question a few weeks ago when I was doing my grocery shopping. She's totally smoking hot now, lol. |
