Dated a Mexican for awhile and one of my good buddies was Mexican and a chef as well, both back there now. Their verdict was Toronto has no good authentic Mexican joints and the ones that are semi decent are extremely overpriced. The best bet is Kensington market. The my buddy would cook was great though. I'm pretty sure if someone could open a proper place it would be booming.
Frida as mentioned earlier in the thread is good. But cmon, French food prices for Mexican food, wtf...? |

should be the other way around considering how simple french food is. same with italian food...actually all food...most of it isn't from some exotic plants and warrant outrageous prices in restaurants. |
