but pressing a button and twisting a knob, MAN, BEAT REPEAT. "BAW BAW BAW BAW BAW BAW" KKKKK *crowd is going nuts, 8note reverb ricocheting off the ing walls like l.l. cool j in rollerball*

*you goooo, you goooo, youuuuuuuuuuuuu goooooooo (ing beat stretch, via ableton) oh , doesn't sound good in texture mode, time to switch to tones*

*crowd holds hands in air, they can't take it any more, guido's are getting boners, their bitches rubbing up against them as deadmau5 blasts through the PA. YOUUUU GO.. YOU GOOO...................reverb, reverse effect on the CDJ......BOOOOSH, DOWN THE LONGEST ROAD TO NO WHERE, holy all the guidos pop their cherries, people think it's the machines fogging the club up, but really is the heat and sweat penetrating through their armani and d&g attire*

*their bug eyed chic-miniature sunglasses can't bare the UV rays shooting from the lazers any more, all the guidos remove their sunglasses, and a huge ing ray of light blasts from the crowd like cyclops, ZOOOOOWWWWW*

*deadmau5 strangles steve duda on stage, no one knows wtf is going on, he switches to an eerie halloween intro of ghosts n stuff. signals everyone to put their in the air, crowd follows. guido's go nuts, they're shaking in their ing uggs right now, deadmau5 is about to drop a sick 'easy-listening vocal' of carl sagan quoting a pale blue dot as he abruptly goes back into the groove of 'alone with you', the tears from all the females fill up the room, people think the ceiling has opened and there is a storm equivalent to hurricane katrina outside, the rolling moog synth slowly comes in, the kick is hard like my boner, abercrombie pants on all the guido's rip even more than they already are during the factory process. they're ing blow away, BADAAWAWA BADAWAWA BDADADAW, 'alone with you' is rocking the place*

deadmau5 finishes his set, the crowd screams at the top of their lungs, then he takes his mouse mask off and slowly the decibel level fades from +43 to +8. the teeth have made the ecstasy enriched community of clubbers completely uncomfortable

in steps ricardo villalobos, all the guys wearing completely obscure band t-shirts, bands only they have ever heard, shirts you can't ing buy any where, you gotta print that out legit silk-screen by yourself. ricardo drops a bomb unreleased opener of nina simone. *when you are ready i will surrender take me and do as you willll* baw baw baw baw *tribal percs, sick rolling, triplet lion drums all over the ing place. ricocheting off their metallic encrusted scarves. ricardo is sweating already, he came on set with a completely dry deep v-neck now it's soaked in man sweat. didn't even take 3 minutes, already sweating like a race-horse at the kentucky derby. he's rolling balls. he starts to mix out of this unreleased nina simone track, goes straight into ing latino-americanos, everyones like WHATTT DAA FACKK, don't fit. doesn't matter, ricky ricardo knows what he's doing, he's giving the crowd a mind like they've never seen before. he's keeping the track completely without bass, slowly mixing into an obscure south american classic track, *chingate puttaaaaa, WOA, chingateee putaaaa, WHOA* *rolling groove hats, off-beat water drums* crowd doesn't even know what the it means, but they love it. fist pump fist pump. 8 hours go by, and the set is still at 121 bpm, people don't even notice, they've came about 60 times already, that's all that matters. ricardo mixes out really bad, with a horrible beat repeat from his nifty red soundbyte, leaves it on a 1/4 beat loop for 45 seconds, crowd loves it. it's wicked repetitive but it's working all that horse tranq i took earlier. closing the set with a white label bootleg of 'lonely island - i'm on a boat'

Thanks for upping the Lord of Bass thread. So ing good.

Nice one Palm - I wasn't going to bring that one up because I felt kind of bad for Robby, but man, he asked for it and called out Richie.

Anyone not familiar should read that whole thread. Absolutely ing amazing. Richie got all that of the internet on his phone while on a train. Paid $100 for it as well.

Made even better by Robby then posting pics of himself to prove he's not fat anymore...In a aquarium/tropical fish shop dressed as a harlequin.

Could not make that up. I think you have a thread winner there palm, certainly for the Prod Forum.

Hang on, does anyone know where that thread is featuring Flasback -guy got banned hard for talking about child bothering because everyone (Echosystem especially) was baiting him towards a complete meltdown and it worked? I think most of the posts got deleted but enough was in quotes to still make it pretty epic.

One of the computers will be used for file storage and samples, and if possible VST's, connected on an external, as well as potentially midi interface to hardware (as I only have 2 or three possible midi connections right now. If things go ahead, I'll also be running a 2.2ghz system and a 2.4ghz t7700 and t7500 processor dual core). Both them will be sigmatec audigy's I think plus an outboard extigy.. .. however i have no idea how the funds will work out.. two laptops is a little bit of madness but I'd like to use one for melodies, and the other for ryhtm. I'll have a edrum set I'm configuring for midi use as well as a mpd pad I'm not sure exactly how I'll do it yet. But I'd like to utilize all three computers into the mix. It is sort of ridiculously expensive though (as a hobby for a poorman). Of course the laptops have other uses as well (I quite accidentally put myself into a position to buy two) both are 3GB of ram... so between the two it will be 6GB of ram + 1 GB ram on the storage computer. Of course I'll also have some outboard equipment I'm going to try to get involved an access virus, mc303, keyboard, and a sampler.. but getting it all working, and it all running at the same time may be a stretch. Of course there is other stuff. How it likely may end up is that I'll connect everything to my mixer (and run with the 5 channels i have one for each laptop one for the virus, one for the mc303, and one for my turntables and dual cd deck (hooked up to a seperate 2 channel mixer)

all in all though the laptop alone handles most of my uses. One will be toggels and the other will be the drumset, and whatever else i need it for.. I just need to figure out how I'm going to sync it.

This is about callaghans gear though.. I really have no clue, I'm currently basically just using one computer.. I'll be running a lan, and trying to mix audio signals. I need to figure out how I'll be handling minitoring.. Luckily i have two 3.1 surround sound speaker systems.. so technically I may be able to run one for each laptop sync them somehow .. would sdpif work / firewire work? as both are equiped with it.. if I linked them together would there be some way that could be used? I honestly feel like flopping down 4000$ on two laptops is just insane. Although I am hoping that the purchase will last me the life of the three year warranty unless I have a windfall. Of course one of the benifits is having close to 1TB of data storage now between 3 large drives and a few smaller ones. Although 1TB externals can be bought for like 300$ or less now... .. a safer bet may have been to buy a nice workstation and one laptop... but I'm in the situation I'm in for a reason.. there is no way I normally would have bought two laptops.

Anyway long rant...

It should last.. but the "new software" that uses what it has .. seems to constantly occur.. if new more powerful stuff didn't happen then what..

(what I'd really like to see is a sound equivlent of the physics processor engines -as hopefully these will become standard in graphics cards)

none the less I'll hopefully be able to watch TV on the laptop record video, utilize voice commands -and that is the cool part.. both laptops have onboard mics... I'll be using dragon.. so if I give voice commands, they should follow the commands at the same time.. of course noise is an issue, but with a spilter audio cable or using bluetooth with both them interacting with the device.. I can fork commands...

We'll see what happens with it. (I think getting a car might be a more rational choice for some people...)

(I'm hoping that about 2000$ of the laptop funds will be reimbursed so I'll be stuck with about 2000$ for the two.. we'll see)

HERE IS A PICK OF WHAT I HAVE IN MIND -sorta

Multiple potential loopbacks on this.. should be fun.. also I'll likely have an equilizer kicking around on something.. but I'm not sure what yet.... dependson what I'm doing.

Anybody still have the pic[k]?
