Did you even read the website? Some of the reactions here are astounding me; it's not like what they're walking for is difficult to understand.

yea, I read that TOSLUTS.com, an escort review/message board is one of the affiliates...

in the end of the day, as mentioned SEVERAL TIMES, there are far more pressing matters than one cop's words that need to be addressed.
Nrg2Nfinit
send em all to toronto island. Legalize that :p

Just waiting for one of the 3 honchos running for PM to snag up the slut votes on this issue. Layton subsidizing condoms? Harper backing pro choice? Iggy gets a mistress AJ style? We will have to wait and see...

some dumb cop made a dumb comment which he later retracted and was denounced by the force and these girls/women are still making a national issue out of it.

i personally dont like the toronto police "service" but this is kind of ridiculous.

Unfortunately image is everything. It should never be ok to assault someone. However, if you wish to stay more low key in certain sitautions you need to dress low key.

Absolutely no different than not wearing jewelry or not showing wealth in poor areas of the world. In this case if you get robbed its still not your fault and its not ok, but by showing wealth you increased your odds of robbery.

I remember in uni some girl was wearing ass tight booty shorts and not much more than a bra in the hallway and every guy was making comments. I said to my friend that she was asking for that attention. Some feminist beotch overheard and starting yelling at me that it was her right to wear that without being catcalled. And i said in that case ill walk down the hall in my underwear and expect to be ignored as well. She said "its different for you, you are male, youd like it". I called her sexist and walked away LOL

It shouldn't, but it does. The bottom line is that girls who dress provocatively are more likely to attract the wrong kind of attention from the types of males that are willing to commit sexual crimes.

Does it give men the right? Of course not, and they should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Are the girls that dress provocatively the ONLY girls that get assaulted? No, but it is more common in our society, and girls need to be aware of that fact.

Should we all live in an ideal world where we can do whatever we want and not be victimized for it? Sure, but that isn't the reality that we live in, and to believe you live in utopia when you don't is foolish.

Yes I see your point, and Im not naive to the fact that we dont live in a perfect world. And I do agree women get judged and taken advantage of, but that doesnt mean they are to BLAME, which is kinda what the police-guy was saying. That is all. Personally, ANY kind of sexual abuse or rape is totally disgusting to me. WORST thing you can do to a woman. :(
