If I was a DJ, I would....find time to work on my productions. Gotta be balanced between DJing and productions

If I was a DJ, I would...give back to those who have given me soo much in the scene...

If I was a DJ, I would...play for the crowd, but educate them at the same time. If there is one thing i learned its that a DJ can't educate the crowd without entertaining the crowd.

If I was a DJ, I would...have 2 Classics partys a year

If I was a DJ, I would...still be respectful of my peers. This business is a cutthroat business and one false move and before you know it, you're black balld

Now.....

If I was a DJ, I wouldn't....use a laptop. call me old fashion but i don't want to be known as a plug n play DJ

If I was a DJ, I wouldn't...have an outstanding contract or rider needs

If I was a DJ, I wouldn't...let me ego get in the way of buisness

If I was a DJ, I wouldn't...quit my day job

If I was a DJ, I wouldn't...take a gig i'm not ready for

I would play marathon sets, bring back the 7+ hour sets

oh, and lasers are mandatory

amen to that...plus i feel like id play for free in my hometown city to give back to the up n coming partygoers as old school clubbers that supported me along the way to becoming a world headliner

oh and stay true to my roots and not sell out with what would just make me more money (tiesto)

hang out at after parties and mingle with the fans/friends

If I were a DJ, I would pay some unknown producers to make music for me so I could slap my name on it so I take all the money and credit.

this is a great point, i was about to say the same --- I would make a point to play at least a few free parties over the course of every year. not just in my hometown though. Probably in the cities where I have the most fans / cities where I play the most parties over the course of the year. Release the info online first, through my own website, a pre-sale of the free tix

and as for the mingling at after parties -- i'm sure that a lot of djs do this. you just gotta know the right ppl :p (damn that would be so much fun!)

If I were a DJ I'd sell out and make a load of money tour the world and be happy.

If I were a DJ I'd also use an alias under which I produce only quality, underground tracks that your life can depend on, as well as try to hide the identity of that name.

If I were a DJ I'd play my alias on my super popular radioshow to get people to see what good music is all about, and have the scene slowly shift away from cheese as well as support smaller artists.

If I were a DJ I'd want to be something like BT.

i always have said to myself if i become famous (when i was much younger and i thought making music was a form of an art, not a copy and past) i would open public production studios, let anyone one come in and schedule appointment with workshops and sit there and show them how to put their ideas in digital :)

have famous djs and volunteer their time. now that the time has passed i have moved my thought to a virtual studio. i want to open a free website with live streaming video chats where people can go online and get their question answered by highly qualified professional

as some of you know my sets include new stuff as well as some older stuff from ranging from 1 year old to 9 years old..thats my new thing..forget the newer stuff these days bc most of it is crap..ive been goin back into the book and seeing what songs i went nuts to back then along with bombs from now..

hate it or love..i play with my computer..ONLY for more music..instead of burnin 2 copies of every cd i make..all my music is right there on my computer..i still do everything right there on the CDJs..well as of now its all on my DDJ-T1 lolol..but i still beatmatch and do effects with the CDJs,DJM, or whatevers in front of me..oh yea..and i always wanted to play the lasers to the song thats playing like armin did at tobacco warehouse and crobar back in the day lol..i tried it this past weekend but the lasers were like 2 inches from my head lol..kind of impossible
