Are you kidding me, the problem isnt ovechkin...staal was all over him, credit to him! Ovechkin is a beast and he would still manage to breakthrough on the D. Lucky we have one of the best, if not the best, henrik to hold the team down....
Anyways, that game was all ours. Stupid ref didnt blow the whistle just as henry made the save of the first goal..which allowed the caps to poke the puck back out and go in- what a way to change the momentum of a game.
As for the chant, you may think its stupid but im sure bruce was eating himself up. This may not be their year to shine but it serves as experience on this young lad team. My respects to them for the way they have been playing and im sure in about 3-5 yrs, they'll get what they have so hard worked for, Lord Stanley. |

| 3 goal lead is the worst lead to have in hockey.. LMAO that game was funny. Rags better be ready for friday because they are going to hear it loud and clear allll night. I can already hear the HEENNRRIKKKK, HENNNRRRIIIKKKK chants i Love it. Rags are finished friday. No way they come back from such a devistating loss as last night. |

for sure. Callahan is what makes that team work. I am a die hard Devils fan but if you gave me a chance to pick a player from the rags it would be Callahan. Hes good with the puck on all parts of the ice, he is very responsible on defence. Hes trusted all around and just a great hockey player,solid player that works his ass off every game. Cant say that for Dubinski whos a bust. Him and his streaks of him doing absolutely nothing for weeks. Drury LMAO hes a joke and needs to go because he does absolutely nothing and has been that way for the last two years. What a waste of money. Gaborik just does not fit well in the rags system at all. Avery has become a joke and a whiny baby that ends up costing the team more than he brings. Rags def need to make changes next year if they want to go deep in the playoffs or win a cup. Also some how they have to get lundqvist some more rest because you can clearly see the guy is just about gassed out at this point. Same thing happened with the Devils and Marty and over using him all those years. Such a good goalie on a ty team. It wont be long enough before he wants out.
I just dont see the Rags being able to come back after such a smack in the face last night. |

You make a lot of valid points. Don't forget to mention Staal, he's right up there with Callahan, great defensive player and creates a lot of offensive plays. As for Drury, we seriously need to get rid of him next yr that way it can open up that $7M cap. Avery, I like and always have. He's dirty and all but always pendent on the rebounds and looking to sneak a puck in, but indeed his duties are costly to the team. I would like to see more of Zucarelli, love what hes been bringing on the ice, however, he has a lot to learn as of yet. As for the King, he needs more help from the team. Hes been the reason why the Rangers continue to hold on and strive but he's def being used& abused.
Idk last nights game took a lot on them and they needed that win to create a series. With only one day rest and playing in Washington, I can't say it's going to be easy. |

True although I think they've played as good as they could have possibly played against the Capitals. His injury has spurred some of the other guys to step up throughout the series. Him being on the lineup maybe would have kept things as status quo. I mean, they're still scoring...
On an unrelated note, Girardi is definitely a player I would love to have on the Devils. His stock has risen way up throughout this series. We have a similar player in Volchenkov, but unfortunately, not really the rest of the players.. |
