He's been putting on a first-class performance this series, as has Neuvirth (surprisingly). A loss in general was inevitably going to hurt the Rangers last night, but the way in which they lost was really the last thing they needed (on home ice). I'm sure Lundqvuist or Gaborik didn't get much sleep last night, and I'm not sure that ending is going to translate into a strong showing on Saturday. Tortorella has a short fuse, I'm sure he let Avery and Gaborik hear it last night in the locker room, and I don't think the harmony's there going into Saturday.. |

| The good news for Ranger fans, if there is any at the moment, is that they're one of the youngest teams in the league and have a ton of really promising prospects (I think they're rated 5th). They're a few years away from being a legitimate contender. |

I'd laugh and feel better but same happened to the '04 yankees. But true, it wasn't as bad as that. |

I hope not. I do like the way he plays the players. Rangers just need a real goalscorer, Gaborik clearly is not the one Rangers needs.
Cally being gone makes a huge difference.
Power Play is just pathetic.. 1 out of last 20. |
