I can't be bothered to read this deeply into some petty trance-spat. Maybe you can discern that Armin has some personal beef with Oakey, but Armin isn't obligated to hype up Oakenfold and on a professional level it's understandable that he wanted to reassure listeners who were expecting to hear Emery. |

| just listened to it on the bus today and i really liked it. gave me that old school essential mix '99 feeling! i saw oakie once in vegas and was happy with his set there, maybe ill go down again soon and check him out again! |

| So this first track Oakie is playing, it starts out nice & oldskool, but turns into cheese. It has good elements, but is not too far from the early 00s cheese. We'll see what happens later. |

Hey, I'm in the same boat, I've been listening to di.fm for the past two years - not enough time anymore to DJ/pick out good tracks, etc. I was getting tired of these perfect ableton mixes. And if you listen to whatever's on the radio, you get the cheese.
Now, as for Armin... he's a dick - he sounds as if he's doing "Mr. Paul Oakenfold" a favor. Look, Armin, no offense, but the guy was murdering stadiums full of people high on MDMA while you were peeing your diapers - show some respect, will ya? |
