BT I only like as a producer. As a DJ he's probably garbage, I have no idea. Every Other Way (Album Mix) is my favorite song of all time, of any genre, ever. Especially after listening to it on an audiophile set up. 2nd is between Hybrid Featuring Peter Hook - True To Form (Acoustic Version) and Radiohead - Fake Plastic Trees.
Fav trance song is either original mix or airwave remix of Above & Beyond and Andy Moor - Air For Life.
I think he performs with a band rather than play a dj set. I know he opened for Ferry Corsten last year but he doesn't really consider himself a dj but rather a live performer. I would love to check out his show if he comes to NYC though...

BT was awesome at ultra
Neonbeats
I've noticed this as well. Unforuantly, a few of the big ones happened at Webster Hall, ugghhhh.
The Eco/Mat Zo party looks awesome :D

Idk about that..when/where have you seen him perform with a band? I've seen him at sullivan room, avalon and a couple of other venues in nyc. all dj sets, no live performances. with the exception of one set he played years ago, none of the songs played were even his. although a live performance would be sick

I haven't seen him yet but I was basing my opinion on this interview:
I know he hasn't been here since I've been following EDM. When was the last time you saw him?

last time I saw him was probably 2007-2008; he played twice in nyc within a couple of months at sully and avalon. him playing in nyc is a very rare thing so I jumped on those, they were 2 really solid sets.
I'll watch the interview later but I'm guessing maybe cause he sang a lot on his last release it would make sense to do live performances. he knows how to move a crowd, either a live or dj set from him would be great.

bt is an awesome dj btw. if you like the first half of movement in still life you'd like his sets. he doesn't play his own productions but his sets are some of the most kickass, rockin' sets I've seen played in a club. I took a friend of mine to see him live and the guy became obsessed with bt's live sets after that. however, his laptop symphony show is not great at all
He played twice at Ultra.. the first time was at a tiny stage where he was blasting crazy hard dubstep and making on the fly - absolutely nasty but I couldn't handle it and wasnt the BT i was looking for. He then played the next day on the main stage and I missed it (slept in).. was SO angry at myself and even more so when I dl'd the set.. twas pretty awesome with stuff like remember mixed into it.. #$%$@#!

I've seen him play both ways - as a live show for the Movement In Still Life Tour back in 2000, and his "Laptop Symphony" DJ sets several times over the years. IMO he's a pretty good DJ, but his live show was ridiculously good. Admittedly that was one of the first EDM shows I ever went to, and MISL is one of my favorite albums of all-time so I'm probably horribly biased.. but damn that show rocked!

BT killed it @ Ultra this year  I heard his set from the condo's balcony :toothless
too bad it was so early and there were only like 20 people there lol

He really deserved a better set time than 1:30p on the last day. On the upside, he seems to be enjoying working w/ Armin lately (apparently remixing a new track?) so hopefully that leads to more BT showings...

MISL is indeed a solid album, even though it is a mash-up of diff genres. from the nu skool breaks to mercury & solace and the trance of namistai with pvd, it's a smooth journey. lol, this seems to be a BT thread now

Dam... I would love to see BT. I have so much respect for that guy. I've just never heard anything about him live, like ever. I wish I knew when he was in NYC because I definitely would have made an effort to see him.
