Funny heard from 4 different people: So boring.
I give this sound maybe 5-6 months. |

| Does it bother you that much that other people enjoy something you don't? Taking the time to come in a thread to negatively review a party you weren't even at is kind of juvenile don't you think? How does it benefit you? :conf: |

Get new friends.
And hate to break it to you but this "sound" has been around for years and years and will continue to be around for a long time. |

yeah i mean, it's been around for as long as electronic music has.
like anything, when a genre surges in popularity, it inevitably brings some degree of mediocrity with it(tune wise), but when it's done right, it's killer(like anything else done right mind you).
i can see why some people would find it boring, as it certainly can be, but like much of anything, finding the diamonds in the rough makes it all worth while.
as an aside, it's kinda too bad Morgan Geist and Darshan Jesrani didn't blow up just a bit later than they did - they'd be incredibly popuular right now, all things considered. nothing touches them in terms of quality for this kind of music. Environ or death! |

| Since the demand for tech house in Toronto has diminished from 99% to about 70, something had to come in to fill the void. The sleazy, chuggy disco-funk n' r&b groove happens to be that sound. And I'm sorry to say for all the haters, but it's on the rise - just wait until the Summer weather returns, it's going to really take off. ;) |

Where are all these statistics coming from? |

the stuff that i do not like most about this style is its femininity and hipster orientation. All that jazz, soul, disco and rnb is too cheesy. Music for manly men should be techno and tech-house!!! |
I'd agree with you in many cases but not in this one. Tanner Ross is very good, and I'm sure people who have been to the party can attest to that. |

Several in depth studies....
If they are a bit much to grasp, it's like saying almost everyone to "a lot". |

| Awesome party. Although this sound is currently the minority, the passion and knowledge for the sound shown by the people that show up is amazing. Miami this year was no exception, and it was nice to pick up in Toronto where we left off in Miami. |
