I have no idea if this guys is guilty or not, but from reading those posts it does seem to me like he was just joking. Although its in very bad taste, it just seems like he was posting for shock value on those posts and not actually meaning what he said.
I can understand the media blowing this way out of proportion, but I`m a little surprised that the police are taking such a serious stance on it. |

The issue is that what happened in the dorm room, and what he wrote online have nothing to do with each other. Unless there is written material about him planning THIS murder, all of those posts should stay out of the trial. His personality is not on trial, only his actions are.
Surveillance tapes for the dorm, the web cam video, the boy friends testimony, blood samples...etc, that is the stuff that should be given importance. |

^ it wasn't in a dorm, just a rental house near York's campus
no videos as far as I know and the video chat she was having with her bf wasn't recorded
so unless they find her laptop, web cam and/or phone with his finger prints (they were taken by the murderer from the scene), he's gonna be a free man very soon
the cause of death is inconclusive too, so unless they find his prints on her somewhere? The bf prob won't be able to identify him for sure since he didn't really see his face, just the hair/clothes
a lot of consequential evidence it seems! |
