I honestly think there should be a national public service campaign about the difference between the words "Loose" and "Lose".

This is seriously an epidemic with anyone under 25. How the hell did our school system fail this miserably?

i saw someone do this today on facebook.

our school system started failing once all these private schools started popping up everywhere (ie. montessori) and all the chinese students started going there, leaving all the blacks and browns in the public school system so the teachers stopped giving a so it affected the white kids. lol jk.

My brother is 17 and the stuff posted on his facebook wall is complete nonsense. What's worse, however, is another girl on my facebook that I met traveling last year - she's probably 21 and her wall is chock full of brits (presumably her age or so) and their language is ATROCIOUS. Ironically, Brits seem to really have the bastardization of the English language down pat.

, I'm still laughing about the fact that people actually had a heated argument about whether it should be two spaces or one after the end of a sentence.

Anyway, Stephen Fry had some nice thoughts on the matter:

Brit texting slang is quite possibly the most painful form of conversation to read out there.
