My 7th BeB (skipped last yr). I agree with most posts here. Seems like you were better off sans VIP in relation to queueing.

Siesto has completely lost the plot and seems to be another Choke'n Fold. Past due date. I miss the Tijs that I saw at Cream @ Amnesia in 2001. Now he caters simply to the most common denominator. Sad.

AVH, just plain generic electro-ish mashups. I miss his wobbly basslines. He used to be king of those. Yeah, I know, it's not the 90's anymore.

Fortunately for me, SVD, A&B, Schulz saved the show. Gold too was....ummm Gold. Can't beat Schulz for consistency. What an intense trip.

Met up with friends from tdot, Ottawa....Ken nice to bump into you again!

Stayed until the end. Legs started giving out. And yes...WE NEED DRINKS WITH ELECTROLYTES ! ! C'mon playground, this is ridiculous - it's pretty much a health issue. Selling powerbars would not kill you either.

Next year, bring Coxy & Tenaglia - you'll get your 15 000 back - without resorting to ultra cheese.

Found this great video of Tiesto dropping a bomb that night:

I have met hundreds of people in the past weeks for this event...

the ones that took the cake are those asian prep boys, get this:

They arrive sunday late, ask me for 4 regulars, fine.

The guy is telling me how late they were because their car was impounded at Brockville... they were driving at 150+ kmh... while smoking weed.lol

Cop stop them, smells the weed, seizes it, impounds the Lexus, take away the driving permit, a couple Gs for the speeding ticket and these guys are left there hanging... they cab it to Montreal for 250$.

They have to be at court in Ottawa next week to get the car back

An hour later they call me and ask me where they can hit for some coke.

Dude.

lol jesus . :wtf: :stongue:

Is there a way to split the audio files? Fast forwarding can be annoying if you wanna listen to a specific part.

This was my first BeB,
I had a blast and my funnest night this year hands down.

Got there at about 1120 or around that time, got off the metro at place dīarmes to see pretty much every other metro car have a bunch of white crowds get off. The VIP system worked pretty good, scanned tickets and signed and you were good to go. Coat check and security line was about 20 mins or so, not too bad. Some friends had regular tickets and were waiting probably 45ish or a bit more. So in that sense VIP was usefull.
Got inside maybe right after Cosmis Gate got on stage and felt like I would have a good night. Really enjoyed their set, this was my first time ever seeing them and they were one of the groups who got me really into Trance so it was great to finally see them.
The lines for bathrooms were pretty long but then I realized after 5 mins I was in the regular line and not the VIP one haha. The Vip line was really quick and no more than 10 mins or so. At one point only hot water was coming out of the taps everyone was worried for a second lol.

After roughly 40 mins of Cosmic Gate went over to see Tiesto..
Although Tiesto has been playing mostly new clubby/housy garbage lately he still had a few classics in there which made me really happy to hear (Love Comes Again especially). I know heīs sorta going downhill now since Kaleidescope but regardless I still enjoyed most of his set. Plus I guess heīs always been my favourite DJ so Iīm probably gonna enjoy seeing him regardless. It was really packed too like others said because of all the fanatics to see him.
I went and saw Sander for a bit but he was probably the one DJ I saw the least of the whole night just because of meeting and chatting with random people every 10 mins heh.
Above & Beyond I was sort of disappointed with. He played some good stuff but I think messed up a few times or tech difficulties who knows. At least from what I remember of him. Some decent mashups though.
Went and saw Avicii for 30 mins or so and a bit of AVH. Not my type of music so didnīt stay long and just wanted to check it out real quick.

I went for a smoke, talked with some randoms for a bit then came back in to Markus Schulz, hands down the best of the night IMO. Kept everyone up and going. Some really dark stuff and techy trance in there. I stayed for his whole set and danced the whole time besides the 10 mins to refill my water.
Stayed a bit for Ben Gold then went to see Yinon Yahel for a bit and it was awesome way to end the night. After maybe 30 mins though 2 of my friends were way too tired to keep going and wanted to leave. I wanted to stay and was still fired up and going but couldnīt find the other people I was with so I didnīt want to ditch the 2 friends, therefore we ended up leaving..

Overall I had a ing awesome time and for sure will try my best to make it back next year. I know there was some cheesy stuff there but overall I think was really fun night and no complaints.
Iīm not sure if VIP was worth it though, especially for my buddy who bought it off a scalper for 90$. 40$ which I paid I guess is ok just for the faster bathroom use and one or two of the VIP stages but I think they couldīve done a better job for the VIP. The line didnīt move that much faster which was the main reason I bought it for..
Sucks that it wont be for another year though. The day after I was feeling depressed about that haha.
Out of roughly 11,000 people I read in the news only 1 arrested and only 8-10 people had to go to the hospital. Thats not bad for such a large group.

Moment of the night, Tiesto playing Love Comes Again, or Above & Beyond playing The Last Time. Or maybe just Schulzī whole set haha. Or just meeting and talking with random friendly people..

Only thing I woulda changed was charging my cell before the event. Once we got in there none of us could get txts working and I kept getting cluster txts like 6 at a time because of so many people txting I assume. And all our cells died so it was hard to find each other, .not to mention when everyone had a bunch of candy lol
Poktapok
So not only they oversold 3 times the advertised VIPs but they manage to up the main feature of being VIP. Not having to wait.

Wait time for VIPs was 1.5 to 2h!!!!! While the regular line was breeze.

Same for the bathroom, girls bathroom takes forever in the VIP.

It's good that most of these tickets are bought by ignorant tourists.

Well if you want comparison, my friend got there probably 1030ish and got in at around 12, in regular line. At 1130 was at coat check and waited for VIP security for 20 mins or so. But I heard earlier it wasnīt like that. Bathrooms ended up being mixed after 30 mins I think lol.
Mr. Compulsive
first time in BEB, got there around 11, the line was smooth for such a large venue, the security check was pretty tight. shoes off/touch ball sack and everything.

the Set up was pretty cool, although I was kinda disappointed with the House room set up. It felt a lot smaller compared to trance and the trance room's sound system (bass) was WAY louder. U could literally hear SVD's bass lines during Tiesto's set.

First DJ we saw was Cosmic Gate, Ive seen them a few times before and was not a big fan. However I must admit that they did put on a good show, I also cant believed they dropped Dirty South- Coming home... Ironically this was the theme song of the night, I must've heard it like 5 times.

Then we headed over to Tiesto, he delivered exactly what I expected. Commercial House/Mash ups with a few classics. I had a f*king awesome time, the party vibe was off the hook. I see a lot of peeps complaining about how he changed up his style and how he went commercial... all I can say is .. get with the program, Tiesto may be "cheese" but his parties are off the hook.

After Tiesto's set the house room was still pumped with energy, then Avicii came on and completely killed the flow... U could literally Above Beyond's bass drops from the house room lol, so I ran over to the trance room and A&B's set was pretty awesome. Although there were a few little tech issues? The set was still pretty good, everybody was into it, cool visuals, and AB dropped some nice classics w/mash ups.

Went to see Armand V.Helden for a bit but the he was playing was just whack... I'm a house guy but he was just completely not in line with 5 AM in the morning mood.

Went back to Trance, Schultz was dropping bombs all the way from the start... By this time I was exhausted as hell, and the energy was running low. Markus's set was kind of similar to the one he played at GUV the weekend before.. Just straight build up/ drop bomb...quick build up/ BOMB.

Checked out Freemasons too and they were surprisingly good. Played some nice tracks and the 2 DJs were totally in "sync" with the crowd. It definitely helped to life the energy up since it was like 9AM already.

I went for a massage around 10am and it was the best 20 bucks ever... too bad after the massage I was completely soften'd up and my legs felt like jello. Ended up night there, securities were pretty nice.

Totally agree with what previous member mentioned.. HOW THE HELL DO YOU NOT SELL PROTEIN BARS AT A PARTY THATS FILLED WITH JUICE HEADS!?

Overall amazing party, didn't see too many sketchy ppl, one asian dude OD'd and was puking blood...yea... Apparently he had a punctured lung ..hope he's ok. Washroom was a bitch but it got better after 5am, saw some JUICED OUT "bros" and I swear this one dude that looked exactly like Hell Boy. Overall awesome time, good crowd, big ups to the few Lladis that were walking around in nothing but body paint. :D

However I don't think I would go back again unless they put some quality DJs over at the House Room. I felt that the trance room line up was way better than the house room.

A lot of people were ignoring the bathrooms upstairs left of the Trance room, they were pretty empty all the time, I didn't wait a single minute to get in. Only had to wait maybe 5 minutes to fill up my water bottle while everybody asked if I was Cesar (i was wearing a laurel crown lol)

Yeah I wish I had known about them earlier in the night. There was never any line ups in those ones.
