Nou, it's not EVERYONE in the South. It's a small number of extremely vocal people that the media parades in front of the camera for entertainment value.
Most people in the South, conservative or not, are sensible individuals trying to make a living like everyone else in the country. You seem to have played into the ridiculous caricatures of southerners that have been thrown around since reconstruction. |
You're elected officials are the minority? How are the people I am talking about a minority if their elected officials take a majority to vote them into office.
I feel bad for the people that do not support the policies of the officials that represent them, but maybe they will be more active in making sure they are not unfairly or unjustly represented after a disaster like this.
Sadly though I do not believe that is a reason to ignore that these people's states rally against the federal government at any cost when its NOT a disaster just to make a political point, but demand it, god forbid, if something bad is actually happening there.
I mean these are the same states that flipped out after the BP spill last year because we wanted to halt drilling to make sure other platforms in the gulf weren't prone to ing massive explosions and leaking millions of gallons of oil into the water. They elect people in the same party that considered going after BP a witch hunt! These people want to continue elect politicians that leech off of the northern states while espousing policies that hurt the very same states that fund them!
So sorry that they had a disaster, but something has to make these people learn. Fall in line with the feds and the other more intelligent states or don't expect them to help. |

My whole extended family was killed by the tornadoes. I had sex with all of them before they died at least. |

Hardly. They're not as Anti-American as you'd expect them to be. Moreover, the whole "Pearl Harbor" nonsense wasn't really given much attention there. |

How is that a FFS?
These people should be allowed to spout off and be ing retarded, and not only spout off, but work to implement their retarded and destructive policies, only to then have that all ignored and be coddled and told "oh its ok, we don't care about what you are trying to do to the rest of the country, here let us help you" only so they will come back and continue to be ing retarded?
Any other part of the country would be a different story, but the south is truly a detriment to the rest of the states.

EVERYWHERE IN THE SOUTH EXCEPT GEORGIA (and just barely there) TAKE IN MORE MONEY IN FEDERAL TAX DOLLARS!
The states that they so radically claim to be these huge sources of debt with their "socialist" policies are the ones ING FUNDING THEIR STATES. So if they want these states to stop spending federal money like crazy, then maybe they should stop letting it get to them. |
