this was a very smart move by the USA. By respecting his muslim rights they are somewhat diffusing a very hostile situation. |

come on dude. you know better than to try to put this 'war on terrorism' in such a simple statement like OBL dead = end of war on terror. you know that this has evolved into something more complex than killing one dude |
but it seems like a good time to ask the questions of 'where do we stand now?' and 'how long will it go on from here?', isn't it? |

Technically with this "amazing news" both wars in Afghanistan and Iraq should end no? Or will this be a good excuse to extend the so called missions in Afghanistan?  This sure is a great publicity stunt for the US Government. |
Yeah sure. I mean technically they should get out of Afghanistan atleast, but Iraq is about as a long shot as they come. |

of course the "we" that hanged Hussein and the "we" that gave Bin Laden a respectful burial at sea are two different "we"s and neither are actually "us." |

The justification for and goals of the war in Afghanistan was never to capture or kill Bin Laden. Granted, that was one objective but the overall was to oust the taliban and establish a liberal democracy thereby denying a state in which Islamists could operate legitimately and with state sponsorship. |

I think you, Dick Cheney, and Donald Rumsfeld are the only people that actually remember that . |

Justice, american style, without proper due process, you're gonna get shot in the head and your body will be dumped in the sea.
, yeah, 21st century justice. |

This should really make people feel at ease about surveillance. It took how many resources to catch one guy?
If you take a in the woods, they will not see it. |
