No difference, really - you just can't put yourself in their shoes.
Here, this might help:

I can understand that some people in the Arab world may consider Osama a hero, but the difference is this: The hundereds of enthnicities and nationalities represented in the WTC, the planes, etc: have those people ever orchastrated an attack to kill innocents in the Arab world (or anyone else for that matter?)
It would be one thing if Osama killed Bush, another leader that the Arab world may dislike, or a member of the armed forces that may or may not be killing innocents on THEIR turf, but when you purposely plan out killing people trying to go to work and make a living everyday, that is where your difference lies. I will never agree with this practice, regardless of side. |

The thing is the people cheering because of 911 don't hate the President...they Hate Americans and the American way of life. It doesn't matter to them the ethnicity of the people or that those individuals didn't attack the Arab world. Its more an attack on the American way of life vs their way of life. |

So with this logic, you are saying that Muslims/Arabs cheer the death of innocents because the Muslims/arabs are haters and close-minded to other ways of living; where as Americans cheer the death of a guy who killed innocent people because he killed innocent people?
If this is the logic, then im my mind, there is even more discrepancy as to the reasoning behind "cheering" for a death (or many deaths). |

To the terrorist people the people killed were not innocent so in their minds they are not killing innocent people. When the americans kill one of the terrorists they are not just killing that person but attacking their beliefs. I'm not suggesting they are right or wrong in the way they think but you can't just look at one side of this and say they are wrong to cheer the death of americans and then turn around and you cheer for the death of a terrorist. |

I am certainly not looking at this one-sided, for this reasons I have already stated:

I get what you are saying Scott, but there is never a reason to kill innocent people no matter what your beliefs are. I don't care who you are, you have no justice behind it.
Their "people" are killed because they set out to harm others abroad. They are too freaking crazy to realize the difference. Just because they have crazy extremists willing to say goodbye to their lives and family for the sake of their beliefs, does not make it ok to go and kill the innocent.
I think it is fantastic they finally got the ****** behind it all. Osama is not a person that deserves to live. It is just unfortunate that it probably won't be the last stop/attempt on many parts of the world. |

I completely agree but people chanting USA USA USA in the streets is no different then what some people were doing on the other side of the world. In both sets of peoples minds the bad people got what they deserved. Why add fuel to an already burning inferno. |
