Apparently she was a waitress and stripper to survive until she was "noticed." Her personality/showmanship/shock value is probably just her personality, which just happens to coincide with what a lot of people buy into. If she's already taken her clothes off for money, I'm sure she's not just acting "out there" to be a gimmick.
It's kind of like Christina Aguilera when everyone forgot about her for a few years, then she came out dressing like a skank and singing about ing people. That doesn't mean she can't sing. It just means she wanted money. |
