when you roll a joint, do you have any poking devices that are masquerading as desk ornaments?

Never had anything specifically for that, I just used whatever was handy, like a pen or whatever.
To pack it down properly, I used to grip the tip where you light it and kind of waggle it back and forth so it pushes it all down to the filter end (that sounds stupid, but it's difficult to describe). |
