Aaah I remember that nite too! lil Louis stepped up to the plate...& now he's King Louis!! :D
The great thing about ARIA was that it could be filled with warm sexy, classy or funky house tunes, sick bad-ass, freaky, twisted techno, ecstatic (goa) trance or real smooth, dark prog beats where you could just loose yourself in the dark & crowd - usually jam packed to the brim! There were hardly any nites that were not good. No matter what - it was always addictive! I have the best memories of this place...I still miss it today - my 'dancing meccha'!! ;)
RIP ARIA - best afterhours EVER!!!! An era died with ARIA.

Even though I had many good nights at Aria, IMHO, nothing compared to Sona.
The vibe there was simply amazing. You could still have a good time when the music wasn't that interesting.
You could feel you were in a true underground club...which is not something you can say about the 'newer' afterhours. |

Oh, and one of the good memories I have of Aria was when I was with Louis in the DJ booth, looking at his records to help him determine which tracks he was going to play after Lee Burridge.
Also, having the chance to chat with Lee for about half an hour after his amazing set.
Unfortunately, it was the night that someone got stabbed in the hip hop room. |

Watched that Danny Howells video till 2pm+ wtf?! How common was/is that? I thought these places were closed by 11am?? |

I remember louis dancing on the speaker shirtless, mindblown by the djs and telling me he wanted to be a dj one day lol
It was funny at that time considering how many people were telling me they wanted to be djs back then. |
