if you haven't watched paradise now you should watch that immediately. It helped with the empathy a lot more than this exercise, I kept trying to pick out flaws in his logic instead of just going along with it. But, whatever works best for you. There are generally two sides to everything though and two wrongs. Interesting nonetheless. People like my brother have to take these courses all the time and he calls me up making jokes and giving all the details I've generally found them interesting though.

YAY!! Real responses!!

Where can I find paradise now?

I have found that going to University, studying psychology and sociology in particular, has really aided my ability to see things from others' perspective, or at the very least, I make a much more concerted effort to do so.

However, despite this, I still find that I struggle sometimes to remove my bias and truly understand where others are coming from. Or, I will get a lot of disapproval for trying to see it from the other side.

I also find it frustrating when I am pissed off at something and the BF will try and explain what the other perspective is. I JUST WANNA BE PISSED OFF DAMNIT!! Haha!

Wait, I thought you're an adult. You're wearing Vans? And yet you make fun of Nou for not growing up?

I have an undergraduate Psych degree. The training and paradigms you learn in Uni are helpful, regarding what you're talking about here, but I personally believe that no one can ever "truly" remove their own biases from any given situation.
