mix feelings about Gerber' set, and absolutely adored Ben - wow, I really felt like I was in Berlin again, haven't seen anybody do what Ben did to those speakers, Hard, thick and strong techno down out throats - and I won't even try to upload the videos I got, the bass is so strong you really can't hear anything.
by the way, was Gerber still having technical issues while he was on?

Ok so here is my review.
I was not impressed with Guy Gerber. I love his productions but his set had people standing and wondering around. Too much high frequencies at some point.
Klock was really good. Is Montreal ready for Berlin??? I think so!! nothing had to be said about his set, perfecto.
didn't go to bed till 9pm , what a day it was!

Yea this was absolutely retarded. Being mainly a techno guy and having to choose my trips to montreal carefully, I had actually never been to stereo (:0) ! Needless to say, best cherry popping of all time. I've been waiting to see Ben Klock or Dettmann for ages now and swore I'd go to the bunker next time they came as it seems they're in NYC every couple months. Anyway, finished school on friday + ben klock at stereo yeeeee, i was pumped.
Got in to Guy Gerber at about 530 or so and although he was not the man I came to see he still wasn't bad... only thing I didn't really enjoy was a couple loooooooooong ass breakdowns but he still had a good groove going and actually was a better prelude to Klock than I had expected.
Klock just ing delivered, so massive.... Tough tough tough. I really like my dark techno and usually will go to black out in Montreal, but the thing I like about Klock and some of the berghain guys is that they play techno but not exclusively dark, I like to say it's techno with some soul. And he played reallllllly deep. I follow him quite closely and I know his sound can get faster and harder, but he kept it really deep and a bit slower than I've seen him in certain sets/videos I've encountered. It totally fit stereo though and I kept telling people it felt like he had me hypnotized, honestly. I was just zoned out completely in a groove and before I knew it he was done.
Oh and of course special shout out to Adam, Maher and Stereohead, so glad I ran into you guys had a blast chilling with you all for the last little while it was really awesome! :) Hopefully I'll see you guys out next week @ Function??!?

Alright that's all I remember for tunes atm :(. I'll say he prolly played some stuff from the upcoming dvs1 klockworks and a few dettmann tracks too but I can;t remember. honestly though what a night, definitely one of my best ever. This is the music for me and I can't ing wait for berghain to be back in the house
