Ok so here is my review.
I was not impressed with Guy Gerber. I love his productions but his set had people standing and wondering around. Too much high frequencies at some point.
Klock was really good. Is Montreal ready for Berlin??? I think so!! nothing had to be said about his set, perfecto.

I don't know too much of Gerber's music but i totally agree with this. When Gerber was on it was cool but when he wasn't i was scratching my head. At one point it looked like he even needed Maher to help him get through that horrible breakdown. |

there was a technical issue with one of his delay pedals and synths which caused for that break which is a major transition in his set so we had to wing it and improvise using his kaos pad on his ipad.
i personally thought gerber tore the roof off the place much better then his set at igloofest 2 years ago which was also amazing but |

Agree, Guy Gerber was by far better that night then @ igloofest. Also, I enjoyed his set much more then Ben Klock. |

His set was a lot more progressive than I thought it would be. As Erica (Stereohead) told me, only 2 or so months ago at DEMF he played a really funky set. I guess the circumstances called for a different vibe though. It was really good IMO but that 5 minute wa-wa-wa breakdown in the middle (unintentional as Maher stated) kind of stood out as a sore spot in an otherwise great set.
And again, Ben Klock ing destroyed it. Best set I've heard in Montreal this year. I still need to know that that track was where the high-hats kicked it suddenly and everybody just went nuts. It was only about 20 - 25 minutes into his set as well I think. |

It's more about how they came in. I don't know if the track was like that or if it was another one that he played on top. It was crazy though. |

I know exactly what you're talking about, and I was standing up on the balcony when it came on and saw him bringing the hats in and out, awesome sample or something.. man that was so massive. |
