Can we get a description of this concoction so no one else runs into this issue ? or do you think this was just a weird reaction she had to something and this was a unique case?

Way overrated.. They've gotten way too popular and have too many mouths to feed at all times of the day that the way they cook their meat now has gone way downhill. Last time I ate there, it tasted like mush, that's how much they cut up the chicken and how uneven their use of the stovetop was. More people eating = less attention to detail.

There's a lot better guys around the Columbus Circle area and a few killer trucks still in the West Village.. My personal favorites are on 57th and 7th, as well as sometimes one of the guys on shift at 30th & 8th, but it really depends what time..

ill give those a try thanks for the tip!

but 53rd always hits the spot for me. and i go to their second cart across the street with no line. could be they manage better with the minimal traffic?

Those are both really good places. My boyfriend swears by the one on 30th (although the one he speaks about is super late at night??) and I've been to the one at Columbus Circle area after classes when I was at Fordham :) :)

lol yeah man that could go either way in this thread, as it proves how dangerous alcohol could be. Unfortunately people lose control of alcohol far more than they ought to: its leads to so many deaths and its truly sad.....

But, it also shows that you need to take personal responsibility for yourself and others around you. Its absolutely NOT cool to drink and drive, as now you are potentially involving the harm of others as well.

All drugs have a fine line between fun and fatal, and it is ALWAYS sad to see people lose their lives over such things :whip: :whip:

Oh nice, I go to fordham and I had the halal a block from there (same avenue on fordham but a block down, across the street). Is that the one you went to? I thought it was pretty awesome, almost as good as 53rd and 6th.

I personally think they should do this anyways. The only people who want 15 year olds at a rave are the 15 year olds....(even though this guy was confirmed to be 19 afterall, its still not a great place for younger kids, IMO).

I was going to put up a pic of pedobear, but I'm just too lazy at this time :o

Wow. I took some flat yellow ones from NY in Detroit and they were pretty good. It really could happen to anyone, personally I buy from ppl I trust (and do their own product).

How is your friend babe? Hope she's recovering nicely.

I think we sometimes lose sight of the fact that every death is tragic.

This is a second hand opinion from my co-workers because these things scare me and I won't eat meat that's shaved off that creepy stick thing.... From what they tell me there is a very good halal truck at night in front of the apple store at 14th and 9th.
