I was in this sort of situation.
She's relying on your sympathy for you to get back with her. Maybe sometimes you feel bad and get back with her. Either way, she's manipulative by being the non aggressor, but the victim. |

| Well in another life I was Dr. Love. I had a nack for hooking people up and making their relationships last. I could feel the vibe and boom it happened. I think I'm personally responsible for 2 marriages and 1 divorce. But, in this case after reading your girls text messages it sounds like she either needs "closure" or she's really deeply in love w/ you. And if that's the case, I'd encourage you to keep her close. See love as you get older gets more and more spread out. You might meet a girl for coffee, or, have a one night from some girl you met at the local disco. But, keeping that girl around is often a compelixity that baffles most. If she's truly in love with you, and she's resonably attractive. A girl that you could get your rocks off to even though you can't stand her. Then I would redefine the boundaries and just run with it like that. There was this movie that I watched one time that suggested that if both people in a relationship fall out of love w/ one another at the same time than more often than not, its over. However, if one's still in love w/ the other when the other is not, than usually it lasts. Love is a magnificent thing and I'd humor her just a little either so you could still get some or maybe realize that you love her just as much as she loves you. |

Indeed. I also do not appreciate members of the feminine population who fail to observe their inelaborate deviations in spelling, grammar and punctuation. Clearly they intend to manifest their malconformation to masculine interest by showing the utmost discourtesy to those who comprehend the complex intricacies of the English language. |

Lira's (serious) analysis. I'd say both sentences are probably true:- You're a low-maintenance guy and expect your girlfriend to be the same;
- She's a(n emotionally) high-maintenance girl and she expects her boyfriend to be the same. Even if she doesn't, the fact that you're drifting away means she wants this sort of behaviour from you more than ever before.
Your failure to live up by her standards means (for her) that you don't like her.
The reason why I'm saying that is because I used to do all those things she's asking in the beginning of my current relationship (not because I think everyone should do it, quite on the contrary, but because I felt like doing it and she was receptive): I'd send "Good morning" and "Good night" messages nearly every single day, I'd often make surprises (the reason why "often" is the keyword here is because too many surprises become just ordinary events) and whatnot.
If you posted this here, I'm inclined to believe you still have feelings for her and might want to "fix" this problem. So here comes the crucial point: Do you want to give this relationship a try?
If not, just tell her to forget about you and move on. If you do, then I can assure you she's neither crazy nor impossible to be with. It seems you're sending too many mixed signals. |
