Review on EC TWins at EDC

The EC Twins, a buzz act featuring two guys in matching pork pie hats and sleeveless T-shirts, was a fail in the Heineken Domes. The duo lost all sound and fumbled the mixer and decks as the music came back at hyperspeed. They finally found the plot, but the guys' version of frat-house dance music, Daft Punk set to pogo beast as they aped up and down like they were just creating lightning, was more DJ Pauly D than EDC.

They killed the music several times at TAO beach too. But the silence was the best thing to happen to what they were playing lol.

nice!

honestly, more people need to post it up.

they've been lying so much and newbies are being convinced that they "brought back House music to LA" as they always claim to have done so

The reviewer seems a bit harsh and probably wasn't a fan of mainstream house to begin with which doesn't help.

They recently performed at Sutra and I honestly thought I would hate everything about Marc & Allister but found them to be extremely humble and nice guys.

Their performance is very over the top which is undeniable but given the crowd they're playing for it's suitable.

It's not my style of music at all but I witnessed no trainwrecks or slip when they played at Sutra.

I've experienced far worst in terms of mixing and attitude from people who have been doing this far longer than these two which gave me a lot more respect for them.

I didn't catch their set at EDC and they are not my usual style of EDM but I gotta admit they seemed like nice guys when I've seen them. Pretty down to earth and IMO have opened well for house acts like Farina, Dennis Ferrer, Jay-J, Miguel Migs, Doc Martin, etc. when they used to play at Ecco.

I think their DJ name and that video about how they "brought back House music to LA" gave people a bad view of them. I'm thinking they meant they brought house music to clubs that were mainly playing hip hop before?

the cord kept on popping out when they would get craze!

but once it was fixed, they were rocking it out.

i love their remix of that track Doves.

I'm a new fan of the EC Twins.

They def have really really high energy. Most of the tracks they play are super cheezy, but they throw in some good beats in between.

Crazy how much they blew up in the last couple of years. They get more gigs in Vegas than many top DJ's.

May not be the best DJ's for experienced EDM fans, but they do pull many into liking EDM.
