I don't worry about what the public likes, I worry about what I like. I don't need a DJ Poll to tell me who is good, you know what I mean? I said Sasha's new album is very tight when it comes to production, just not to my liking. I guess I don't follow the ways of the general public, because if I did I guess I should like Britney Spears also. Go figure. |
you were basically saying they wernt good DJ's and boring is the word you used. thats your opinion, go yourself and then abit more, cos ALOT of people do like them, youve said your bit, so no need to ever slag them off again. comprende? |

AirDrawnDagger is very breakthrough and intelligent. It's not like every other dance track where it's just loop after loop and repetitive. Airdrawndagger is spaced full of ever changing notes and chordes which makes it AMAZING! It shows a variety of musical talent.
How can anybody compare this to "The Legacy"?
OMG the legacy is sooooo repetitive it's not even funny. NO wonder it only took 5 hours...its the same four notes over and over again. How hard is that? |
couldnt of put it better myself. you might as well seperate them into seperate genres... |

I love it when nobody producers criticise the difficulty/simplicity of a track like the legacy for example. Sunburn, you will never ever have the talent to create a track like that and if you notice the tones do change, go clean your ears
 |

btw, the title, 'Airdrawndagger', does it mean anything, a saying in English maybe? Metaphor? Something stupid he made up? |
ignorant peasant...Go watch the interviews on his site. He explains his idea for the title Airdrawndagger and how it relates to Shakespeare's Hamlet. |

My Bad. the whole "ignorant peasant" thing was a little bit uncalled for. I'm in a ty mood tonight. But yeah, I'm sick of people who don't or can't appreciate this album for how much of a nice piece of work it is. |

| I wasn't a big prog fan before either guys. But I must admit, trance isnt really going anywhere at the moment. No extremely well produced tracks. Even the tracks from back in the day (99) are easily labeled as being "formulaic". You can't just pass off progressive as "boring". You really have to appreciate how these DJ's layer their sets. It will in blow you away. Ok, how bout this. For all you guys that are saying I can't stand that boring progressive (like I did not too long ago) go and listen to Sasha GU 13 Ibiza. Come back and tell me that you didn't feel like Sasha took you on a journey and you will have to be bitch slapped. Also, i just noticed one other thing recently. Is it me, or are M.I.K.E's productions all very similar sounding. DOnt get me wrong, I LOVE his work. But I could listen to Legacy, then listen to Silverbath if I didnt know they were both MIKE productions and be able to tell that they were made by the same producer. I just feel that M.I.K.E. has a sound that is distinctive to him and he uses it over and over. |

i just got back from vacationing in a kind of remote area (island in Greece)...
b 4 i left, i grabbed a bunch of my favorite cd's, like Tiesto's ISOS 3 and a bunch of stuff... at the very last second, on a whim and because of a tip from a friend that it was good, i managed to get and bring along airdrawndagger...
i was away for three weeks, and the only cd i really listened to was airdrawndagger, after listening to it, some of the other music i had sounded simple and shallow...
i hear it took 7 years to make, but maybe it is my favorite electronic album of the past 7 years... its that good... |

boring??! you must be musically dumb. Listen carefully. Each track is soo well produced. Its like when people say "progressive sucsk". When in fact they do not have the intelligence to appreciate the way progressive music is made and how a good Prog Dj layers his sets. I guess it comes down to how open minded you are when listening to something new. |

| I like airdrawndagger - you can see the time that was put into it in the quality of each track. I don't know how many of the tracks I would actually call "trance" though... |
