i seen the documentary. it was pretty awesome.

now i need to see Axwell by him self.

Axwell is the guy with all the technical skills. If you watch the documentary one of the guys (Angello or Ingrosso, I believe) says, "I want everything all the way up when the track kicks back in," referring to the faders on the individual tracks on the mixer. Axwell kind of shakes his head and says, "But, it's never all the way up." If you know anything about music production or mixing, the faders can never be all the way up or you would have mass distortion and red-line the main channel. You would have to put a limiter on the main bus to prevent clipping. You usually wouldn't want to do this. You want to adjust the channel fader levels individually so you get a good, clean mix.

Take One is hilarious because Angello and Ingrosso seem miserable 90% of the time despite being rich doing what they supposedly love doing for a living.

Axwell seems like the calm one who sits in the hotel before a set and makes little edits here and there to tracks. I think he's the true artist of the group. Angello and Ingrosso come across as party-starters. They get a crowd going, but I don't think the music matters quite as much to them.

I agree. Axwell's productions speak for themselves.

Thanks for all the input guys :)
What about the material that they play in their live sets? I think so far I've only seen inputs of how much more technical Axwell is compared to the others.

Yeah thats what I was thinking. Especially the part at Tomorrowland where Steve Angello is just complaining the whole time. And then the reporter asked why Tomorrowland, and either Angello or Axwell responded with something along the lines of "Because we get the main stage and were getting paid a lot."

With that said however, it would be unfair to say that those two are the only divas in the DJ world, and its not going to stop me from seeing them whenever they come around.

I agree with everyone else regarding Axwell. I like his productions the most. However, I will say this - given their rep, any of the 3 are a freakin rager to see. Ingrosso especially just drops classic Euro anthems and all the SHM favorites in his sets - it's like a singalong special. If you don't like that then of course you have your answer but I for one had a blast seeing him at Avalon; I feel like Angello would be the same and he has some of his own productions like Knas to throw into the mix.

But of course Axwell is the best! Hope he comes to Avalon or somewhere else in LA soon.

I would rather contract H.I.V. and gonorrhea and cancer then spend money and see anyone of them play.

i've had the chance to see all of them play solo and see SHM play together a few times. say what you want but the "SHM" parties are bonkers. always music to dance to, always classics mixed with upcoming toons and production that's out of this world. did anyone see the laser show for the EDC '11 performance?

(skip to 6:22. and i know this is mostly EDC's production but SHM always brings out massive productions. the new stage they bring for their shows is amazing).

individually live - personally, i like axwell the least. he might be the most technical out of the 3 but his sets lately have the least flow. angello always plays darker, heavier stuff and like it was said before, barely uses headphones. ingrosso probably has the most energetic live sets and plays the least 'cheese' out of the 3 of them.

production wise, axwell is definitely king. he's easily one of the best producers out there, period. angello used to produce some real good stuff too but has gotten a bit more 'cheesy' lately. ingrosso hasn't really been producing much at all but it might be bcuz he just had a kid and got married.

they are definitely showboaters and angello/ingrosso can definitely be divas sometimes. like anyone else, this upsets me because it's nice to have humility with all the fame. at the same time, no other DJs put their lives out there as much as these guys so we don't know how anyone else acts. at least they're proud of what they do and have no problem showing everyone how they live their lives.

i'll admit to be being biased towards them and giving them a lot of support, but it's only for one reason: i have the absolute best time when i see these guys live. the masquerade motel party they just threw during MMW was insane. it's always good vibes and great music to dance to and to party to, and at the end of the day, that's what EDM is all about for my friends and i.

You took the words out of my mouth. Wtf happened to everyone's taste in music on here? First everyone is dick riding cheesy vocal trance, then ty ass Tiesto, laidback luke, afrojack, then dubstep and now these 3 clowns? This is why the music is in the gutter, sheep buy whatever is hot regardless of actual merit. Sheeple!
