I'm a DnB head, but download any of the Hospital Records mixes, Netsky's album, Danny Byrd's Ill Behaviour album. As far as trance, I've been out of the genre for a year because it just sucks ass these days, last good song I heard was 100. Whatever Markus Schulz or Wippenberg spin is for the most part decent. Thievery Corporation's new album kicks ass, but it's minimal.

I'd rather stop liking EDM than listen/like to some of the stuff that's popular with the masses today, thank you very much.

Luckily, I don't have to give a about how the parties are or what the masses like. Yay freedom, biznatch.

Eric Prydz, Omid 16b, Alex Kenji, Manuel del la mare, Crazibiza, Mario ocha, Les Schmitz, Riva starr, Jeremy olander, Richard Dinsdale anything of Spinnin Records, Hotfingers/303, or stealth pornostar also has some good releases I could go on for days anything but that ing trash. Your telling me to name something else but your comparing it to garbage like it matters lol. The beatport progress house top 100 is a ing joke. They are doing to house what armin and tiesto did to trance in 08-09. If you think SHM is music well.... :haha: :haha: :haha:

WOW at the laser show in the video posted. i would have died if i saw that in person. :-/
Cool1g
having seen them all solo in the past year, i'd go:

1) Seb
2) Axwell
3) Steve

i did used to put Axwell first but i liked Seb's Avalon show last fall. I really used to recommend these guys a lot around 3-4 years ago but now frankly i'm over them.... they all know how to rock a room with the expected hits/tracks, but nothing remotely adventurous is currently tried by any of these guys, unfortunately.

their parties are fun, no questions, and for that reason alone i'd go see a SHM big event party, but we can all predict a large % of the tracks they all play before walking in the door. something i don't have to worry about with Sasha :D
Cool1g
PS - it was pretty cool in their doc movie seeing how they made 'One'... especially how it was just an okay track and with a few tweaks became the anthem it is.

Thank goodness someone else has some sense around here, I was really losing hope. I just don't understand how anyone can say they like SHM and try to claim any credibilty in musical taste. Those 3 losers are circle jerking their way to the top making money off idiots with a limited edm understanding.

David Guetta and that piece of no-talent Deadmau5 ruined EDM for the traditional fans and brought an element into the scene that will spread like an aggressive cancer. One day most of you will have moved on in musical choices because the selection in EDM is atrocious, thanks to the commercial DJs and you supporting their albums. I'll be busy in the Jungle listening to real music

Thank you sir. I've been listening to Hospital stuff for a while now, but I'll check out Thievery Corp. I'm not 100% sold on minimal but I find a groove in it once in a while that I really enjoy.

You guys say it like SHM produces every single song they play. The less-than-stellar music they play is merely a reflection of the junk that is being made by hundreds of other producers and the tastes of the new-wave of edm buying public. I'm not saying SHM aren't to blame for pushing the junk, but it's not entirely fair to be classifying SHM as the sole reason for the demise of EDM in your eyes.

It doesnt matter if they produce every single song they play or not. Their productions are . Their sets are . Their whole mainstream cookie cutter persona is . I never at any point and time do I say SHM is the sole reason for the demise of EDM. All I said was they are doing to house what tiesto and armin did to trance. Not saying they are the SOLE reason but what they play other people and who they support and have on their label like afrojack and the rest of the Beatport prog house top 100.

Not to mention if your a big DJ have some class. When armin was in atlanta he took home with this girl who has the chin of jay lenno and a face of a bulldog she went on and on about it for weeks.

Gotcha, so they're and they perpetuate . I don't hate them, definitely don't love them. I don't really care what happens to house as a result of their efforts though.
