1) Seb

i did used to put Axwell first but i liked Seb's Avalon show last fall. I really used to recommend these guys a lot around 3-4 years ago but now frankly i'm over them.... they all know how to rock a room with the expected hits/tracks, but nothing remotely adventurous is currently tried by any of these guys, unfortunately.

their parties are fun, no questions, and for that reason alone i'd go see a SHM big event party, but we can all predict a large % of the tracks they all play before walking in the door. something i don't have to worry about with Sasha :D

I was thinking the same way your are. That they just play cheese. Most cheesy DJ's do play all cheese at massives (especially Guetta)

But this video from Angello (solo) from EDC gave me hope that he can play new stuff and test new tracks. (when he is alone of course)

It's an LA thing, too. In fact, I'm pretty sure it's in about every small town and big city in America. I'd be more interested in finding places where it doesn't exist. Is there such a thing?

let me demonstrate to you guys the TA board in general:

whether we're discussing SHM, armin, tiesto or anyone.. this is the response you'll get.

(and in this case, you'll get the arguments that they never even liked the swedes in the first place :haha: )

the shm music and Alesso tracks are remove we what 99 -01 trance was about before but at a slower bpm.

Thriller
So I know my opinion is slightly biased because of my SHM/Ibiza adventure last month, but I enjoyed the guys set at EDC last year and since then, I have found every set that I can. I saw Steve here in Seattle this past April and there were maybe only 150 - 200 people there (Wednesday show the same week as Coachella). Steve's set was more electro house that I would have thought, but it wasn't snoozing wow this is boring electro. Around NYE, I got a hold of Axwell's Christmas 2010 mini-Essential Mix (15 minutes) and there are some crazy transitions during that set. I haven't heard a solo set from Seb yet. SHM's sets can be predictable, but you have to give them props for having over the top production setups during their gigs, plus some of their edits and remixes are unbelievable.

Here's additional footage from the 'One' studio session: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLbGrfnRGK4. That's Professor s#it! :toothless

This is for those that haven't seen my photos or videos from Ibiza or didn't hear about the competition I won: Ibiza 6/5 - 6/9
