Hey,
My discman is on its last legs and so I need a new one. But I am thinking why not try a mini disc or mp3 player instead? If I got a mini disc then it would be easier to carry and probably a lot less prone to skipping and stuff but then I would have to copy all my cds onto the discs. I think you can put mp3s on them as well?
If I got an mp3 cd player then I could put livesets and stuff on discs to play as well as my normal audio cds but then same as another discman, it is bigger and will jump when we go over potholes hehe. And then there is an mp3 player option with the hard drive! Man, I don't know what to do!!!
Give me your thoughts :)

http://www.sonystyle.com/ has some MP3-CD players that WON'T skip when hit (due to G-PROTECTION, which is the BEST skip protection out there!) and they have a nice back-lit screen one there too!

WARNING: DON'T get the D-CJ01 (their first MP3-CD player), though, because it doesn't allow search THROUGH an MP3 file!!!

Did you have any other MP3-CD player besides their D-CJ01? If so, explain WHY they suck! review it like magazines do. I want to see how you do a REAL review. Break it all down. Grade it on a scale of 1 - 10 on sound quality, features, aesthetics (sp?), battery life, and durability (SEPERATE SCORES AND REASONS FOR EACH CATEGORY). I would do this if I had one.

Heheheh, I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee my slim x damn it. It's small as hell, lightweight, has 8 min anti skip, battery life to last forever (12/14 hrs of it, not including back up battery pack) plus mp3 cd's...I've burnt about 7 mp3 full on SETS (Johan Gielen...) on a cd and am listening to those for now. That's about 8 hrs of music. Wooooooooooooooooooooooow!:eyes: BUY IT!

iPod

10 gigs of mp3s... great interface, internal battery, fits in the palm of you hand.

Done the mp3 cd player thing .. too bulky, hate burnin CDs y interfaces with bad battery life...

iPod costs a mint but its worth it!

You might wanna hold on and wait till this sucka is out,iRiver IMP-400, SlimX 2 that is.

It slightly differs from the previous SlimX model, not much of a change, really.
