My imac needs a clean install anyway.
This might be the reason to finally drop an SSD in there and go Lion.
I won't be able to do it for a couple of weeks but I'll post my results when I do. |

| Just be careful, I read somewhere that NI plugins won't work on Lion just yet! I know for a fact, Serato also said that ScratchLIVE does not support Lion yet. |

will wait a while. read that pro tools has some strange issues with lion. can any one confirm/deny this?

Apple has released OS X Lion (Mac OS X 10.7). As of this writing Pro Tools 9 and all earlier versions of Pro Tools software are not compatible with OS X Lion. NI plugins have been running fine on my system--not sure if they'll hideously break down or something like that. the scrolling took a while to get used to frankly (it's now like their iOS devices, whereas before it was drag fingers down to go down, up to go up). a little thing, but when you use a computer as much as I do, muscle memory sets in.
logic 8 wont open as apple have discontinued the older 'pro series'. mail works quite well. the new spaces function took a bit of adjusting too but I like it. mission control makes the expose function a hell of a lot more functional. other than that, I have yet to run into anything that makes me go "wow, this is great". I didn't really have any substantial gripes with snow leopard, to be fair.

| Is there a 'move and rename' option yet? Up until snow leopard anyway you still couldn't copy files in the same location with the same name. You have to manually change the file name instead of it just appended '1' or whatever like windows. So ing stupid. |
